Hey mike, and all, Just curious as to if you can remove opti-coat for any reason what so ever? I havent ordered it yet, but i am just curious to find out.

:xyxthumbs: thanks!

just with any polish? like i could just take 3.0 glaze and buff it off?

I've always wondered how aggressive you need to get, how long it takes, and how do you know once it's completely off? Is there a noticeable difference in appearance once you remove OC?

It will depend on the polish, pad, tool, and person using them, but in my experience a light to moderate polish will remove it on the DA with a polishing pad in 1-2 polishing cycles.
For testing purposes I was able to rub through with Opt Compound II by hand in a small section. It's not really visible when you rub through, but the beading characteristics will be gone after an IPA wipe-down and frost or morning dew will look different around the areas that have no coating...dust/dirt even attracts differently.
