Opti coat over new paint?

Hi everyone,
I have been fixing rust spots on my Explorer and painted a section of a panel. Do you think putting Opti Coat over fresh paint is a bad idea?

The fresh paint should cure for a minimum of 30 days before putting a coating, wax, or sealant over it.
