OPTI Coat pro/pro plus with hard water spot

I let the MDR sit for about 2 minutes after rubbing it for 3 minutes=5mins. I had to do it 4 times until I was able to removed a 6 inch x 6 inch spot. I have a Tundra which has a bit of landscape with the hard water spots throughout.

I did speak with the installer which is an authorized dealer/installer but he sounded more concerned of how it got the water spot before recommending the solution, so I do not even want to bother. I would have to drive 5 hours just it get it fixed which I bet the installer would probably say, it is not under warranty because it was not caused by the of prep coat and/or installation.

Opti Coat sir, but no longer controls the market as they once did, seems more manufactures are producing coating products just check AG they have many choices and the market in the US is just getting started.
No not all or even most coatings are made in the USA. The USA coating market is just in infancy.
Optimum car care has changed a bunch too over the years. They were the first in the USA, but do not have the answer to water spots....

ok, just wanted to make sure you knew, haha. imo this country will end up just like Asia - a bunch of copycats. it's not a real arms race as there are apparently only a few innovators globally. either way, the fact that PBMA is offering what appears to be a multi-year, easy to apply consumer coating is good enough for me. we'll see what the long term testing shows but it looks so promising.

i am not sure anything will ever be able to prevent water spots unless the force is with them. it's what happens with the spots that is most important.

maybe i'm alone in this, but using some sort of mild acidic salve to remove topical water spots beats the heck out of leveling your factory clear when it gets etched.
