Optimum Car wax

For the price of all those waxes and quick detailers you could def buy yourself some Wolfgang Sealant. Try it out. I really like that stuff. Hoping to get a sample of Ultima Paint Guard at some point too. I've heard very good things about that.

I would love to! But I have no credit cards and shipping items here costs a lot, but we have a local forum for detailing, I might hitch with their orders :props:

what I mean about the QD, it's not like the QD of megs that we call 'cleaning qd'

My QD is called Microtex NanoSliq *local stuff*
It's like a coat after my Microtex NanoGloss *wax*
And they say when you top off nanogloss with nanosliq, you can get better protection (which I think, it does)

so yeah..Do I have to put this 2 before I put OCW? Or should I just use OCW?

i don't have experience with those microtex items or know about their compatibility with optimum products but i'd use OCW as the LSP, or use the products you listed as directed. i wouldn't necessarily use OCW with the other stuff because of potential compatibility issues and it just seems wasteful to me. but who knows - experiment and see what happens.

for what it is worth, it seems they (the microtex items) are meant to be used together in some way. from what i can see the nanoglos is almost like a glaze/wax, as it claims to have filling/concealing properties. and the nanosliq claims to be a "moisturizer" of some sort.

nanoglos claims it can fill swirls and light scratches.
*it did on the door handles, but swirls, no no.*

the nanosliq gives gloss and adds protection/durability to the nanoglos wax.

anyway, our local forum will order a gallon of OCW and just share on the cost, i'll get 16oz of the stuff :)

update, so the nanogloss wax is a 'synthetic' wax which can be topped off with other waxes (locals uses collinite 845 to top it off)

So is it safe to say that OCW can be topped over it?

Yes it can be topped, but because of it's ease of application...why wouldn't you use it as the topper and put the more durable stuff directly on the paint?
