Dr. David Ghodoussi, Optimum Polymer Technologies' founder and chemist, displayed a new product at SEMA a couple weeks ago known as G-P-S, or Glaze Polish & Seal. It's a revolutionary all-in-one that performs very similar to the critically acclaimed Poli-Seal yet in the convenience of a spray. Ever sine the first bit of information leaked about G-P-S it has been the hot topic on the discussion forum because when Optimum Polymer Technologies releases a new product, it usually defines a new category.

Dr. G was nice enough to give me a bottle of G-P-S at SEMA to take home and add to my ever-growing collection of Optimum products. I used it last weekend with an assortment of pads on a Porter Cable 7424xp and walked away very impressed. When used in conjunction with a foam polishing pad or Optimum Microfiber Polishing Pad, G-P-S removes light imperfections and has a very long working time. It feels very similar to Poli-Seal while buffing but having the product in the convenience of a spray makes G-P-S a real pleasure to use. Expect a full review in the coming weeks.

Optimum G-P-S provides tight water beading and like other Optimum products, it utilizes the latest in polymer technology to provide months of durable paint protection.

Optimum G-P-S

I would love to test out GPS and write a detailed review on it! My favorite opt product now is probably their Car Wax since it's so easy to use, and has great durability for a spray.

I'd be more than willing to write a detailed review of this.

I'd have to say that my favorite Optimum products are ONR and Opti-clean. They are used on just about every detail I do!

Count me on that!
ATM I only have ONR from optimum and I absolutely love it!
Being able to dry the car without rising is great. Not to mention ONR has a huge variety of uses...

I would welcome an opportunity for this great product to review! It would also be my first Optimum product to review as well. Favorite other optimum products are ONR and Opti-clean as well for their versatility.

I would love to try GPS and write a review for it. My favorite Optimum product is Opti-bond tire gel.

I am big Optimum product fan. I would love to try and review their new GPS product.

I would be really excited to write a detailed review on GPS, this has really peaked my interest when it was announced as Poli-Seal is a staple in my arsenal already.

As for my favorite Opt product, it would have to be Opti-Coat 2.0. I have never seen anything like it, and it is probably the most undersold blow-you-away product out there. Optimum absolutely hit a grand slam with this product - tough as nails, looks beautiful, ridiculous durability, versatile, and looks every bit as good as a high end sealant.

Below is an example of a car freshly applied:

Count me in :hungry:! I will do a write up with pictures and video. As for my favorite Optimum product, it's hard to pick just one, but probably Power Clean because it is so versatile and I use it on every detail.

I would be happy to write a review on it. My favorite Optimum product is Opticoat with a close second being their car wash.

I tested the new G-P-S on the hood of this 1969 Camaro and like many of the new Optimum polishes it has a very long buffing cycle and the experience will running the buffer is best described as buttery smooth. Wipe off is a breeze and for shallow defects it works great while leaving a glossy finish.

1969 Camaro Pace Car - Show Car Makeover - Modeled by Michelle

At last night's project, in keeping with the philosophy of using the least aggressive product to get the job done, PLUS I wanted to test out the new Optimum G-P-S, we tried it out on the 1969 Camaro Pace car after claying the paint.

For this test we used a Flex 3401 with a 6.5" Tangerine Hydro-Tech Polishing pad on the 6.0 Speed setting.

Initial Impressions...

Like other Optimum paint care products the new G-P-S offers very smooth buffing with a long buffing cycle plus super easy wipe-off.

After buffing a section of the hood and then inspecting the results we found the G-P-S did an awesome job of removing all the light swirls and scratches and restoring total clarity to the clearcoat. If left the paint clear, glossy and very shiny.

By removing all the shallow swirls and scratches, we exposed lots of random, deeper scratches everywhere in the paint and decided to switch to a more aggressive polish and a more aggressive pad.

If you're car's paint only has light or shallow swirls and scratches, this would be a very good choice for a light correcting polish and paint sealant all in one.

I think this new product will make a great touch-up polish/wax for neglected cars after the initial detailing session and also a great maintenance product to remove shallow defects and maintain daily drivers throughout the year.

Plus it's versatile in that it can be used by any machine or even hand...

Would love to give it a shot and review. My car is due for a complete strip and full day of TLC. Love the rinseless, and am looking to add their spray wax and power clean to my arsenal as well. Once I get my car to a level where I'm semi-satisfied, I will jump on some Opti-coat too.
