Optimum has rrocked the Waterless Wash market!

Dr. G's long awaited entry into WW is BY FAR the best bang for the buck! DP WW is $45 a gallon and PB S & W is $32. Optimum's CONCENTRATE is $29 and makes 4 gallons. Thats an incredible $7.25 a gallon! I bought 2 gallons yesterday sight unseen, If its Optimum I have NO DOUBT it will be a great product regardless of price. Well done Dr. G!
 
One thing Optimum has done 'right' by most users views is pricing. All the concentrate products from Optimum like OID and the OOC (Waterless Wash) make them very inexpensive to make gallons of the stuff.

The thing that is amazing is the fact that yes, there prices are good, but this are truly top of the line products.

All of their products are top tier IMO! ONR is hands down the best RW I have tried. Car Wash is one of the best and the best value IMO. OCW and OID are also the best values respectively IMO. Im gonna try the new Spray Compound & polishes soon. Opti Bond and OPP are fantastic values too! If I was limited to one brand it would be OPtimum!

OID is also a fantastic value by the gallon @ $12.50!

Resurfer, I sent a sample to our resident Reviewmeister, Corey. He got it yesterday and will play with it this weekend!

ONR - works well when the car is clean.

Opti Seal - Didnt get great durability with it.

I thought their Instant Detailer was alright.

I do like their Protectant though.




I just feel like they recieve way too much attention, when there are just as good if not better products out there.

Opti Bond Tire Gel, don't think you'll find a better water based tire gel.
 
Opti-seal is the only product I am disappointed with. No durability and gloss was stale. UPGP trumps it by far.

OID is slicker than FK425 but streaks more.

By contrast, my observations are that Opti-Seal has gloss that is every bit as good as UPGP, with the added benefit that it has better depth than UPGP.

I also get very good durability with OS by washing with ONR and the occasional coat of OCW.

OID is slicker than FK425 but streaks more.

I agree with this. In addition, I actually think that OID gives a tad more gloss than FK425.

What constitutes "great" durability? Is the lack of "great" durability your only barometer for being disappointed with it?

Excellent, especially for the money. However, I wish that it didn't streak as easily as it does.

I think that Optimum receives a lot of attention because: 1) The vast majority of detailers at various forums are very satisfied with most of their products 2) Their prices are very reasonable in light of the quality that you are getting.

I don't think that anyone would dispute that, in general, "there are just as good if not better products out there".

The question is whether there is a single company that *consistently* releases as many quality products for such reasonable prices as Optimum. The answer to that question, in my opinion, is probably not, but if there is, it would be limited to just a couple of companies.

I was implying that ONR does not work well when the car is dirty.

I also think ONR is one of the most overrated detailing products, it just does not substitute a pressure washer, or a normal bucket wash with car wash soap and suds IMO.

I can get a little less than a month out of the Opti Seal.

I like their leather protectant and their vinyl protectant. I believe its called Optimum Protectant Plus.
 
Onr for me works great with my car being dirty but not overly caked.
Opti-seal gives me minimum 3 months.
Just started to use oid and dillute it a little more than 3:1 with distilled water and have had minimal streaking.
One thing with most optimum products is that they all add some level of gloss.
