After doing some research and reading I was intrigued by the design of Optimum Hyper Polish Spray and decided to give it a try. The single most interesting point, according to what I've read, is the cut aggressiveness varies depending on the pad so changing pad densities changes the cut of the polish.
The polish comes to the customer in an easy to use 18 ounce spray bottle. One question that came to mind was if this was a polish and polish contains abrasives then how would it spray? The answer was simple; the spray head and tip is designed to work with this product and sprays quite easily.
When trying out a new product such as this I always lean toward less aggressive approach so begin I chose my Porter Cable 7424 polisher and a 5 1/2 Lake Country white pad.
Test: 2003 Toyota Camry hood
The finish on the hood is in good condition with some minor scratches and swirls. The goal of this test was to determine if using one product and varying pad densities will correct the finish as stated.
After washing and claying the hood I wiped it down completely with a clean microfiber towel. This gave me a good surface to begin the test as I wanted to see how effective Optimum Hyper Polish Spray at removing swirls.
I couple of pulls on the trigger primed the system and a couple of squirts on the pad and on the hood gave me what I thought was a good amount to work with. The product itself is pink and had a light creamy consistency. I set the polisher speed to about 5.5 and began working the surface in a crisscross manor working the section evenly. As the product began to disappear I noticed that the surface was dramatically improved. The time it took to complete a 2 X 2 section was approximately 4 or 5 minutes.
After wiping the surface to remove any residue, it gave me the opportunity to do a before and after comparison and the results were indeed impressive.
The next test was with a gray Lake Country pad. A gray pad doesn't have a great deal of cutting ability to I thought this was perfect to take the shine up one level. I applied the same amount of product to the pad and surface and worked it in a crisscross patten for approximately 3 or 4 minutes and again the results were quite good.
I completed the test by polishing the rest of the hood and it look better than new. After wiping the hood down with some detail spray and a Microfiber towel, I applied a thin even coat of Collinite 845 using a red Lake Country pad with a polisher speed of 3. Allowing the wax to haze then buff, the result was absolutely tremendous! The hood looked like a mirror and the customer could not believe how great it looked!
Conclusion:
If I was looking for a single polish that was easy to use and give me great results it would be Optimum Hyper Polish Spray. Would I use this product again? The answer is an astounding YES!

Conclusion:
- White Lake Country a bit less aggressive but still performed well just took a bit longer.
- Start with a green Lake Country pad as it's a bit more aggressive thus reducing the amount of time for the initial correction.
- The gray pad was just right
- Polisher speed was good
- Amount of effort - minimal
