I am curious to see if anyone has tried the new Optimum Hyper Polish. They just released a new formula. I spoke with David at Optimum and he advised that the new formula has a longer working time and better cut. They also changed the color to blue to match their new pads. I will hopefully be giving it a try on my daily driver soon.

I personally did not feel like the existing version had a short working time or was lacking cut. Hopefully the added cut does not take away from the finishing abilities... Wonder why they felt the need to change it at all.

Loved the hyper polish, got a sample a while back and recently got to play with it. Long working time and great cuttting action.

I've always found Hyper Polish to be a bit difficult to completely wipe-off.

I wonder if there is an improvement in this area with the new version.

It also looks like they developed some pads just for the Hyper system.

I have never had any problems removing Hyper Polish. It has such a long working time and is a breeze to remove.

Where did you see the new version?

As with most products, the experience varies. But I've had trouble removing it from many cars.

I will have to get a bottle of the new version. Might be true greatness if they really improved an already excellent product.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using AG Online

Seems curious that some have a problem with OHP, it always struck me how easy it was to remove and I think this was one of the selling features by Optimum. On the other hand Optimum say the new polish has a longer working time but the original product was not really lacking in this area. Still not a fan of the spray heads though

Wonderful polish, I call it a "safety" product to have since the dust is next to none (IMO dust comes from the pad/paint) and since it is so easy to use!

I have two bottles on the way. I'll keep everyone posted.

I guess the biggest selling point of this stuff, is the ability to go directly to Opti-Coat 2.0 without the need for an IPA wipedown.

Used the new version Hyper Polish today. Great stuff so far! Haven't been about to test it's cutting ability, but the finish was nice on my grey metallic paint. Smooth and long buffing cycle and NO dust!!!

i think that is a cool feature but the working time (which is directly correlated to value for me, along with performance), lack of dust and overall versatility are why i prefer it.

Does anyone know if AG is currently shipping the new version, or the old?
