Optimum No Rinse as a detailer?

I'm not too concerned with how slick-feeling clay-lube leaves a surface, as long as the surface is smooth after claybarring. ONR keeps the claybar from rubbing against and marring the paint too much, and allows the bar to lift up and grab most of the contaminants in the paint.

If I do claybar, I at least intend to polish the paint to get out the micro-marring the claybar may cause. This is why the slick-feeling left after claybarring would not matter.

So I emailed Optimum have received a very timely response from their CEO.I was surprised. He offered an explanation and also to replace the ONR with Opti-clean or their Detailer.I have opted to Keep one of my bottles of ONR,and swap the other,the keeper I wll use as a rinseless,water conditioner and try as clay lubricant.
What great customer service is offered by Optimum Polymer Technologies!

No doubt! OPT's customer service is first rate, and on par with AGO, with my first dealing with them last week!Im the MAN

Glad to hear they switched out the one bottle to give you something you were originally looking for.:props:

I just used 2-5oz. Of ONR mixed with water in a 32oz. Spray bottle. While it felt like rubbing water off the finish came out fine... I don't like that slick great look. The paint itself was very slick.
