I have both the Optimum spray wax and Pinnacle Souveran spray wax and have used each more than one or two times. Pinnacle supposedly improved its formula by adding more polymers but don't know if it is as durible as Otimum? I never let a car of mine sit with one or the other on it long enough to find out. However...I have found that unless you are careful, the Optimum will streak. On the other hand, I have had no streaking problems with the Pinnacle. I heard one time that it's because the Optimum has more polymers? Just seems strange to me that with all the hype, Optimum would want to improve their mix so there isn't any streaking. I use the Pinnacle mostly because of the non streaking properties.

IME/IMHO, Pinnacle Souverän has has no polymers in it and Optimum Spray Wax is likely to streak if not applied to naked paint or applied on hot panels.

For no streaking:
-Do not apply OCW when the vehicle's panels' temperatures are below 55F, or higher than 90F.
-Do not over apply

Also:
-OCW has real, actually been patented: UV-protectors
-OCW has already been through an upgrade
-OCW's polymers kicks Pinnacle Souverän Liquid Spray Wax's polymers: to the curb!! :D

I'm sorry, but the description on the Auto Geek site says it has polymers and the customer service people at Pinnacle say the improved formula has more than the original. I have no way to measure but probably Optimum has more based on durability reports on this forum. However...I can put Pinnacle on at any temp and no streaking unlike Optimum. I wouldn't mind using Optimum all the time, for the durability, if it wasn't for the streaking problem. As far as temp ranges for the use of Optimum...in the summer here, even in the garage it's going to be at least 90 degrees. It streaks and Pinnacle doesn't ...don't know why ?

I have applied OCW in temps at or greater than 90 - albeit in the shade. Most of the time you will get streaking when you use too much product. This, in my mind is the root cause. A little goes a long way, and when my towel becomes a bit saturated with product I sometimes can do a couple of panels without any assistance from the bottle.

If you apply too much product and allow it to dry then you get streaking. The heat only makes the root cause occur faster.

I have not used Pinnacle's product but I doubt they will be able to touch OCW's durability.

I have to agree with the above statement. Its all about learning how to use the product properly for your current situation. Remember that temp and humidity will also affect streaking and you may have to change your technique week over week to get the best results. Good stuff nonetheless, had issues with streaking at first but it was quickly resolved once I changed up the way I was applying it.
