Lately I have had an issue with Opti-Coat. It was an issue that not many people have had. The coating didn't bead or sheet at all after only being on the surface for 5 months. I contacted Chris @ Optimum. He got me squared away instantly. I called today to talk to him and he wasn't there, so Dr. G helped me. He explained to me what had when wrong and said that he'd have Chris get back with me ASAP. I would just like to say thank you and let everyone know how awesome OPT's customer service is. :xyxthumbs::props::dblthumb2:Im the MAN

Never talked to Sal. Never used Zaino lol.
 
There was an issue with 1 batch of it. It still works, and it's still there, it just doesn't bead or sheet like the normal characteristics. There were too many polymers in the batch.

When did you get yours? I only used mine on some headlights so far and I didn't really notice the beading or sheeting, either.

I think I got mine before that, what was the batch of yours? Mine is 032911A...which I presume means it was the first batch of the day on March 29, 2011. I hope this isn't opening up a can of worms.

I'm not sure. I sent mine back already. But mine was the OG not OC. It was meant for my business, but I tested it on my car before I offered it.
 
I have a lot of respect for a company that openly admits one or more batches were not up to specifications during a discussion related to an issue.

Me too!!! Every company will have issues eventually. It's how they handle those that count!!!
 
Guess I'm checking my batch # when I get home. Did anyone let on to what the batch # range is? Would be nice to know before we apply it.
 
This right here will make me try their Opti-Seal when my Z-CS is finished, just to see what its like.
