Options for protecting piano black interor

Seems like new cars these days come with a sea of piano black plastics in the interior.

Mine is the same. Right now since the car is new there are no scratches. But left unprotected I'm sure it won't stay that way for long.

What is the best product to prevent or at least delay scratches on piano black interiors?

Carpro DLUX or something else? Or is it just inevitable that these will scratch?

The only other option is a protective film.
 
No liquid product you can apply will prevent scratching on piano black interior materials. That stuff is one of the worst ever ideas for interior materials. I'd love to talk to the designers and let them know what I think of the stuff!

Besides a protective film like what is used on exteriors, I think the best you can hope for is to be as careful as possible when doing any cleaning and hope for the best.

Agree 100% with everything said here. Ridiculous idea from the manufacture. I guess they are playing to the "shiny stuff" make the interior look good crowd. As careful as I am there are still swirls, but I do keepa very soft/plush mf towel in the car and use an extremely gentle detailer. I'm not sure a coating would help -probably not. The only was is with a PPF - which hopefully,I can get applied next month.

I have some old CQuartz laying around so I'll just coat it with that - because it's better than nothing.
 
I always try to use air compressor to blow off as much dust as possible before touching. Then I start with super plush WET microfiber to give least amount of abrasion and finish with super plush dry towel and always with light touch. I'm sure there are imperfections but I try not to look too close so I don't fall into depression. I'm considering using carpro essence on mine at some point in the future.
