I finally bit the bullet and purchased a air compressor.I'll be using it for mechanical duties and also with the Tornador cleaning tool:

I purchased a Craftsman 26gallon,1.5HP,125psi:

Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

The kicker is,it comes with a 1/2"drive impact wrench and a 3/8"drive air ratchet.

I had to order and pay for it because the local sears didn't get any of these in but I was happy per-paying for this air compressor,to get the (2) FREE air tools :).
The compressor will be majority used for the Tornador and air gun duties.

Nice score! when you start using it you'll wonder how you could ever get along without it! :dblthumb2:

:iagree: waiting on the tornador black to be available again and then the many choices of compressors that are available. let us know how everything works out with that setup IID.

Whats the CFM on that compressor? Its not listed on the website. I know with my old tornador it sucks up A LOT of air. My big (30 gal) compressor can handle it 11.9 CFM @ 40psi 9.2 @ 90 psi but my 6 gal can only keep it going for very shot bursts. Good luck and let us know about the black tornador, I'm interested in it if it requires less air and is more powerful.

Generally the Craftsman compressors at Sears are pretty good and have a good life expectancy. I have a horizontal 3hp 30 gallon tank Craftsman and the plate on the back says Devlilbiss. The compressor is 25 to 30 years old and still performs and looks like new. :props:

Good luck with it!

I've got an old Craftsman like that, mine is a 1HP 12 gallon horizontal unit with the DeVilbiss tag on it as well. Recovered it from the basement of our family business when it closed, gave it an oil and filter change, dressed the belt, fixed a corroded and leaking air fitting, and it purrs along like brand new again.

Of course it pales in comparison to my 5HP 2-stage IR 80-gallon vertical unit, but it's a great backup to have :buffing:
