OTC Products

I don't believe there's a regulation that limits the mentioning of products, just linking to a product.

Is that a correct assumption?

Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum - FAQ: vBulletin FAQ

Terms and Conditions suggest that comments stick to product sold by and thru AG as forum was designed to help those with these products specifically.

That said, we do allow open post and discussion on other products and products you might wanna see AG carry. If we believe posts to be spam or shilling they can be deleted or moved to mod corner while we contact member for explanation.

Usually its pretty light here ... and as you offered linking to outside lines and competitors is the only absolute no-no. We want to have fun and hope that members will respect each other and give members the benefit of the doubt when possible.

I was just sharing some of my PAST EXPERIENCES with these products. However, i have moved on to much better products. I thought a FORUM was about sharing everything DETAILING. And by the way, the majority of my detailing products and accessories are purchased from well established professional product manufacturers. And to the individual/s that made the accusation of me being a spammer, i am far from that. I joined because after searching on Google, your site was tops, maybe i was wrong. Well anyway, thats all i have to say for now so HOLLA!

No one said that it was a policy or rule. AG spends a lot of money promoting products that are little more high end than OTC. Nu Finish compared to Fusion or Sham Wow compared to a Waffle Weave towel, no contest. People come to this forum for better results for their cars. AG offers those products for the person that want those results.

I understand that. I'm a businessman, so I can appreciate the effort and I buy solely at AGO for all my detail products.

I see a lot going on here about Zymol, Costco MF's currently underway, and many other products not sold by AGO or endorsed by them.

I'm not questioning AGO policy, just want it fairly represented.

Search Costco MF or Zymol. There's a fine line between comparing and endorsing other products.

Good for you to know that you purchase quality products through professional detail sites.

I bet some of the guys here have some NuFinish and NuVinyl still on the shelf.:D

I almost never shop online. I got a good hookup with a detail supply company in Nashville, TN with my brothers help. My main supplier is Mother's. I am open to trying new things. I read alot on here about Fusion wax and Poorboy's products. And just for the record, i subscribe to AUTOGEEK On Youtube! Love all of the videos posted there.

I do have one thing i would like a lot of feedback on. And that is i am having a few issues with coffee stains and really deep down ground in dirt on seats. What is the best product to handle this.

Oops 1 more thing. What is the best product for removing dried on bugs from paint without wetsanding? A paint shop guy told me to do that.

You may see an anti-OTC bias by some but Meguiars, Mothers, and Duragloss are all "OTC" brands that have good products.

The secret tp a good shine starts with paint in great condition: clean without surface defects: marring and swirls. Sealants and waxes protect and amplify the the paint.

And 303 Protectant...and the list goes on.

Carrand tools at Big Lots! Junk tools IMO, but..

3M Products.. just about everywhere.

Black Magic, anyone? Wheel cleaner for $1.99 at Closeouts.

It's all about sales, folks. Sell anywhere and any way you can is what must be done to survive today.

OTC is not a dirty word, it's a reality. The manufacturer needs to meet a sales quota. They will do whatever it takes!

Enough for me already. I'm going back to work!
