Other hobbies??

Cycling and snowboarding take up most of my time.

Riding my YFZ450 and smoking meat. Last weekend I made 10 lbs of pastrami and it was the best I ever had.

I play Taps at the funerals of veterans. Tomorrow I have the honor of playing Taps at the funeral of a sailor who survived Pearl Harbor and in May I get to sound Taps at Arlington Nationl Cemetery.

Bonsai, Golfing, Target Shooting, RC Helicopters, RC Cars, and Motorcycles. I did drop slot cars, but I still have a 6' x 10' home made slot car track in my basement :D. 81 feet per lane, plastic track that was soldered, glued, joints plastered, sanded smooth, painted more of a asphalt like color and set on a plywood/sound board table that was painted green :D.

My parents never told me I had to grow up, it shows.

Thank you for doing this! :dblthumb2:

Though I hate to call it a hobby, appliance repair seems to be one these days. I really try to fix all the stuff that goes bad at my house before calling on someone - right now it's my dryer.
I also run and work out most every day.
I love mountain biking, but haven't been in a while.
Photography was high on the list for a while, but time and money became a constraint.
I love reading. Most of what I read these days are books with my daughter so we can talk about them. She's 14, so I'll do anything I can to get her to talk to me!
Lately I've gotten into Alabama football and basketball so I've been going to those games. Being in Tuscaloosa, that's pretty easy to do.
Whatever time is left after all of that, detailing, and working, I normally spend sitting in my recliner mindlessly watching TV and drinking...preferably a nice wine, but most often a gin & tonic or just a good ole' Bud Lite....really liking the Platinum; nice change.

Me and my dad make all kinds of smoked meat!! We've made smoked salmon, smoked sausage, pork loin( all time favorite.) etc

@habeba86, you're welcome but it's the least I can do for these veterans. These veterans either gave their life or were willing to give their life- they deserve military honors at their funeral service.
The guys who do the real work are the members of the Memorial Service Detachment, MSD. I'm 57 and some of the other guys are old enough to be my father. They've fired the 21 gun salute in 100+ degree weather and 40 degrees & blowing rain.

Good thread idea :props:

Well currently taking a break from some..

-MotoGP/SBK/AMA(I watch every race and stay up to date with the riders)

-Drifting(Use to have 89' 240sx w/SR20 but got rid of it, a money pit!)

-Motorcycling(Use to ride a Yamaha 06' R6 Raven but sold it, looking for another bike currently.)

-Gym(I workout a lot, have a strict diet, take supplements and also go on other bodybuilding forums for info.)

-PS3 Call of Duty(Currently play MW3 and I play with a clan.)

-Traveling(Going to Europe next month :D )

I would really like to get into photography, just lookin for a good deal on a Canon T2i. :xyxthumbs:

Gym, gym, more gym...working on my house every single weekend takes up most of my time (I'm a landlord as well).

Then atvs, boats, cars, and paintball.

Fine automobiles...Fine Women...Fine Firearms...Fine Cigars.

Add to that photography...recently upgraded to a Canon 60D...outstanding camera system.

I do a lot of yard work and home improvements. I am not sure I would call it a hobby though. There are two things I tell people when they come to my house. don't touch the paint on my car and don't mess up the lines in my grass. The kids don't listen to either though. Go figure.

COD: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3

Motorcycling - I miss my bike. I sold it about 4 weeks ago because it's gotten to dangerous to ride around here. A doctor was killed on his bicycle last week by a 17 year old texting and driving.

Guns - member of local firing range

I work 6 days a week at my regular job, so that doesn't leave much time for these or my other interests.
