I saw over on DC that he traded his Camaro for a Honda Civic Si.
Really cause I know he was draging the camaro and either just put in a built tranny or was getting ready to do so.

Yep! I first started out asking for help here. Now Im coming to the point where I can help others and new people find the stuff they need for their cars. Its a great feeling :)

 [each one / teach one, then student /becomes teacher]

I used to always detail my cars beforehand but with regular otc stuff that wasn't great (didn't know about the boutique lines). Then 1st joined here and ordered a bunch of stuff, I had to call Meghan b/c I didn't know how to use AIO LOL, I thought the polishes/compounds would leave a protective layer (like a sealant) ad called her to ask if the AIO would get rid of the polish layer LOL. And now, I teach Killerwheels something new everyday, I'm his mentor:D;)

(Yes it appears Matt moved to ricer ville with a new Civic)

LOL my first post was a reply to a FREE giveaway that was already over... :(

I found this forum by accident, back in August. Didn't know a thing about detailing. Thought all you needed was to wash and wax!! Read tons of posts for about a week before I registered and posted for the first time in August. I was fired up and ready for a PC. My first post was a question about XMT & PB SSR. My newbie questions were answered and I ordered the PC/XMT combo. Great advice was always given and helped me with my first detail with the PC. This is THE BEST detailing Forum!! When I log onto the internet, AG is the first site that I go to. I'm ShMitten with AG & Forum!!

I have been purchasing products from AG for over a year now but I only recently discoverd the forum. Lately I have been on it everyday. I enjoy reading all the questions, answers and peoples comments about different products. I go through a lot of detailing products so it's also good to keep up on all the specials. I really enjoy detailing my cars. I grew up in the Detroit area and did a lot of work for the auto industry before moving to Florida. I love cars and I like to keep my cars looking good. It's nice to hear what people with similar interests and the professional detailers have to say.

AG is the best place on the web in my humble opinion. I love it here. It's like one big happy family and I feel honored to be a part of it all even if only in a small way. :) :applause: AGO!!

:iagree:
I agree 100%, I'm on the same boat. I've been reading and reading lots, printing stuff off and creating what I call a "how to detail 101". Basically, I print off what people say works best and processes that people have tried that have produces the best results and as soon as I receive my products I'm going to try the processes and experiment on my own as well. I placed my first order and my wife gave me the "eye"...well it was kinda big hehehe:D . What I love the most is that the experienced members don't mind answering the same questions over and over and over again. Other places tell you to "search" and push you aside, seriously no joke.

The support here is great and reading and seeing some of the results pumps me up as well to do my vehicles.

Thank you AG and members, to all those experienced members please don’t get bored of answering questions because that is what makes this site so much better and keeps me coming back.

I go about it a little different........

I like the idea of printing hard copies and orgainizing them in a binder but I chose to copy the text that interests me and put it in a Word document with some kind of title over each pasting. That allows me to hit Crtl-F while in the document to do a quick search.

....nice...good idea...faster and more friendly user. I may have to "borrow" your idea

This is my 3rd home:-) Home, work, then here! Good people, great products, great answers, nice atmosphere:applause:I don't always post, but I read almost all of the new daily posts if possible.

Thanks to everyone at AG and in the Forum--I check in daily for "tips" as I am just starting to get into detailing my cars-The advice from experienced detailers has taught me alot. Sometimes we novices post silly questions but the responses are always professional and upfront. There is truly a dazzling array of good products and techniques and it is really great that all can share..Thanks again..Have a Happy Holiday season to all

This a a great, fun place to post and get answers to questions.

Having "gradjumated" from driveway detailing part time to a professional shop environment, it's been a big education process and a different way of preparing cars. The learning process was helped by members and I've also introduced the shop owner to Optimum Compound.

Anyhow, keep the site as nice as it is.

Who knows, maybe I can sneak some time for the Open House on 2007. I've got a ton of flyer miles from my existing travel job and enough hotel points to handle the stay, plus Hertz rental car points....gee, all I'd need is some free time.

You sound like my mom. SHe travels every week for her work, and sometimes flies across the country for a day, eg she went to houston last night for a meeting and is flying back this afternoon.

She has so many rental / hotel / air points that we went to the Mariott Resort on Maui for 2 weeks with a trailblazer, and flew there all on points! Shes very convienient for these situations :p

Stumbled upon this forum several months ago while searching for "3m Plastic Polish" for the windows of my Jeep Wrangler and have been a daily reader ever since. AG customer service is absolutely great. Have placed more orders than made posts (much to the wifes dismay), but I'm learning tons from reading. Maybe one day I'll be able to help someone a fraction of how much help I've received. Thanks for providing a great place to learn.:grouphug:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

This forum is 1000x better then the other detailing forums on the net. Everyone is a lot nicer and the advice has brought my car to a new level.

There is one thing I wish was different. One other forum that shall remain nameless has a huge review section. The problem is their section doesn't cover most of the stuff here at AG. I would kill for something like that here filled out by AG members. I have to search for every product I am looking at, and that gets a little tedious.

WOW!
In less than two days there are 32 "POSITIVE" posts in this thread. Some even made their first post.

Thanks guys for making this an awesome place and not just a sales catalog!

so funny - me  too lately!

I spend so much time here reading the forums, that I don't have time to work on the car! The way people share and help each other out is amazing. A professional will take the time to explain in detail to a newbee to help keep them on the right track. You never feel like your alone in a place like this.
