Over rated Product?

with Divine you can maintain your automobile investment for many years in a condition which usually is reserved to award-winning classics only.
I am not worthy.

so my daily driver will win awards if i use it??? well if thats the case........

I bet you if there was a contest with the same car and the same color paint, you WOULD NOT be able to tell a differance between this and FUZION... NO WAY

Would love to try it. I wish someone could explain why a wax would cost this much, besides the marketing strategy of: "if it costs a lot, it must be superior to "normal priced products". There are other waxes with similar Carnuaba content for under 200 bucks, so that isn't it. I can't buy it's marketed to those who want to purchase something that costs a lot of money, simply because it costs a lot of money. If it was a final product, I could buy "it's art", like the way a painting can cost millions. But it's a tool, like paint, that costs 20 to 30 times as much as similar "tools" and it doesn't appear to offer any quantifiable advantage... Anyone know why this costs so much???

That's nothing.

Can't be because one of its 'ingredients' is:
"Banana oil"...amyl acetate (C7H14O2)...made from sodium-salts of acetic acid; and, the oils reclaimed from the fermenting-process of grains/potatoes.
Or...is it?!?!

Two memorable "banana-oil-aromas" from my childhood-days:
1. Model airplane glue
2. Cincinnati's: I-75 "whiskey corridor'.

I would assume it makes rich customers wanna pay you more money. Say you get 30 uses out of an $8,000 jar of super duper special wax. That's gonna cost you $266.66 per use. Charge the customer $600 for application of said super duper special wax and you have made your money back and then some.

As PT Barnum once said "There's a sucker born every minute"

I thought I saw somewhere that the superfluous Swizzvax jars came with lifetime refills. Or, is that something else?

You are correct.

So if you get it refilled 50 X it gets the price down to the same as Fuzion.

How long would it take you to go through 50 tubs of that stuff?

Jim Beam is long gone, but fortunately Givaudan is still there so the nice buttery flavor still greets you as you drive past on 75.

Have you ever used any Swissvax products???? Fuzion and the cheapest SV paste wax (onyx - IIRC) aren't even in the same class. Not even close imho.

Swissvax produces some very high end detailing products and unless you have personally tried them, I think it's hard to criticize.

They are refilled for life, but still! I saw a post by Dave KG on Deatailing World where they polished out something like 8 of the exact same car and applied all different LSP too see if you could tell a difference. Basically the differences in LSP were very hard to notice if you could even tell a difference at all. The polish is where it's at. Check out this post on AG
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/22142-biggest-wax-test-ever-detailing-world.html Not the one I read on DW, but still very interesting test to see.

I've never tried anything like this because I can't afford to do so, I mean how would one even be able to try it out even, LOL! The most expensive wax I've ever tried was Pinnacle Souvern and that was years ago, paid $60.00 a tub back in 2006 IIRC. I know the results were good but I can't honestly say they were so amazing that I just had to use this and only this forever when it comes to caranuba's. Since then, I've bought the Griot's caranuba wax stick 3x's and really like it when I wanna have an "old school" look on my car, really produces a nice, deep gloss, noticeable compared to how the car looked compared to Klasse/Zaino/BF, not saying I'm not happy with the previously mentioned 3 but rather they give a different look (yes I know you guys know this already, just sayin')

I wonder how many people would buy a sample of that stuff at $266?!?!

The wax costs $37k and to have it applied will cost you $12k for the best package which takes 120 hrs to complete @100 per hour, that's one person working on the car for 3 work weeks or 3 people taking one week to complete the detail, WOW! I guess if you've got an Enzo, that $12k is a drop in the bucket, I mean an oil change will set you back what, $750 for just the special oil it uses! I wonder what that place would charge to just a wash and vac, LOL!

Not having used the product, I can't say anything about whether it's good or not. If the people who buy it think that it's worth it, than I would guess that there's no problem there. I wouldn't mind having some Zymol Vintage myself...

That would be Zymol Vintage and Royale. Never heard of Swissvax refilling. Please tell me if I am wrong.
