Over rated Product?

If it wouldn't hurt my pocket to buy, I would. If I like it, I will continue to buy it. I bet I will get a lot of applications out of a jar, as I apply very thin. While it is true that polishing constitute 98% of the final look, the remaining 2% is important to people. Once I reach that 98%, which means I have perfected my polishing skills, I have nowhere to go but the 2%.

I have read a little bit about the swissvax and zymol products a couple years ago don't quite remember everything about it but somethings I learned if I remember correctly:

The carnuba is extremely pure high quality found in trees only found in a very very small patch of land in Brazil only.
The product reacts to the oils in your hands which I guess activate it. So I read somewhere that you apply it by rubbing it on your hands then your hands on the surface of the whatever. Iirc it doesn't work as well if applied with an applicator or pad.
they have unlimited refills. I'm sure that brings the price up. But single jar should last you a while.
The container probably costs more than fuzion itself.

Now I have never used or seen these products on a vehicle. I would like to. no telling how much margin swissvax and zymol are making. But if someone can afford it to put in there enzo or riddler award winning hotrod why not?

Swissvax waxes truely are in another league of their own. I have tried almost all of them except Devine. I can say most of them are worth it. Except crystal rock. It's amazing but not worth the price. Sv concourso(best of show) is probably the best and worth every penny!!! Shield is also great. I would highly recommend everyone to try their wax out if you get the opportunity. It's extremely hard for me to brag up waxes because I'm such a big believer in polishing and prep is where most of your look comes from. But swissvax waxes just add so much more to the paint. And the look last wash after wash. It's really hard to explain unless you see it for yourself in person.
They also have the best polishes as well. If you truely ever get a chance to buy some. Try it out. If you don't like it. Send them my way :)

Agfan, your 100% right about prep, its EVERYTHING!

Ag, thank you. How would you compare the look of concorso to more common great products like fuzion, souveran, and supernatural ? My faves...also compared to blacklight?

Also another one I want to try is Victoria red... Anyone have any opinion on this?

Concourso looks like nothing I've ever seen in a wax. It actually reminds me of how a nano coating would look.( very wet) also the one thing I love about it is that after 20 washes it still looks the same as the day you applied it. Which IME never happens with any waxes.

Vic's red is a pretty good wax. Also gives a wet look but duribility isnt great.

That's nothing.

ZYMOL ROYALE GLAZE 44 oz

$193 per oz?

Total statement product.....I used to work in the high end audio industry and there are many companies that make statement products, fully expecting that they'll only sell a handful at most. However, the expectation is that it will create prestige and help sell more of their real world products.

How many times have you seen a company say some thing like this:
"Made with the same technology as our flagship (insert name of ludicrously expensive statement piece)...."

Which makes people think they are somehow getting something that is close in quality. I'm not saying that the statement piece might not be better, but diminishing returns per excess dollar take effect quickly. Again, high end audio is a perfect example. Are $100,000 per pair speakers better that $2500 /pr speakers? Yeah usually, but you pay a premium for that last 1 or 2% improvement.

As PT Barnum once said "There's a sucker born every minute"

This sort of joke. I just cannot beleive people buy this stuff. I agree with you.
This is what a great marketing program can do for a business. It is a sorry state of affiars.

This is very interesting. In your opinion, does concorso or Victoria red look the same, or better than souveran or fuzion over a well prepped surface? Durability is of no concern....I don't care if it lasts a couple days... Lol

I personally gave souveran away the day after I bought it. Lol Vic's red doesn't come close to sv products. But like I said it does give a wet look. But not a soaking wet look like concourso. It is extremely hard to explain how sv waxes look through text. I'm starting to sound like an idiot with my comparisons.
Point blank. Sv concourso= best wax ever

I know I know.... do you have any pics or know of someone on here or somewhere else that has used it and has decent pics :props:

either way, you are making me hungry for another wax. It's about that time of year where I get to splurge once on an expensive LSP :D

Btw it's not my pictures or work. Just a guy on another forum.

Thanks for the link. That is indeed very nice. Does look very wet. I hope Concorso looks similar. I will be placing an order for concorso and victoria red

No problem. Concorso looks even better then that. Hope you enjoy it man.

Without an expensive camera. Pictures don't do justice. But here's a BMW with shield on it. Mind you shield is one of the waxes that don't have such great looks. (duribility is crazy with his stuff)
Swissvax'ed Jet Black BMW E92 M3 Coupe

That car came out great, I spyed another M3 in the garage too. I also noticed he plasti-dipped the M3 badge and changed the color of the M stripes, needs to do the roundel to tie it all together though.

There's NO doubt I'll be trying the new Griot's caranuba when I'm done with my wax stick for sure, this thread has gotten the wheels turning for the retro product known as caranuba, LOL:buffing:
