My client's FRS came out of the bodyshop a few days ago. He came in because he needed to wash his car for a photoshoot. As I was washing his car I noticed overspray on the window trim/molding. Does anybody have any tips on how to remove the overspray? The molding is also painted in matte black.

I've removed similar paint overspray from the rear bumper trim on an IS250 with clay. A clay alternative can also be used. If not, you can try an all purpose cleaner diluted accordingly. 10:1 works well for most general purpose cleaning.

The matte black paint could be an issue

The clay has abrasives in it that could knock the matte finish down and make is less matte

What have you tried so far?

I haven't tried any methods yet. I was planning on attacking it when he comes back for a full detail in about 4 weeks.
