My `07 Vette has overspray in the door jambs  I've read several posts but have not decided on a solution. Of course there is a clear coat on the paint....then the overspray on top. Some options are:
1 - Clay bar, tried that with minimal results
2 - Thinner or mineral spirits, scary?
3 - 4000 grit sandpaper then polish

Since door jambs are full of contours, polish with my PC will be no fun.

If I were going to tackle this I would use red Clay Magic clay with APC 10:1 if that didn't do it then I would dampen a terry cloth towel with Goof off or Oops and rub the area and then if all that fails go with the damp not wet terry towel with the thinner.

I've used Meguiar's agressive clay on overspray on fenders before, worked great to get the overspray. Needed a good polish afterwards, but I was planning on that anyways. Should work good on the door jambs.

The winner.....Meguiar's agressive clay. It took going over a couple of times but it did the job. I will say it is quite expensive but I only had to use maybe 1/5 of the rather large bar. A little had polishing with light pressure was the final touch resulting in a pair of smooth shiney door jambs. :props:

After a lady backed into my quarter last month I had the shop replace that quarter and paint both quarters, rear bumper. deck lid and both doors. I also installed front splash guards to help stop the rock chips :xyxthumbs:

After getting the car back and polishing the whole car all is good!
