Hey all

Ive had the flu the last couple of days and its lead me to wonder. How do you full time detailers handle your biz when your sick?

Do you reschedule your details? Or do you have to still detail anyway?

It depends on how bad you've got it. I usually work through stuff, but I rarely get that sick (my wife claims it's because I've built up more of an immunity since I'm around so many germs all day). When you simply can't get up and do it, then you have no choice but to reschedule, but usually people are pretty understanding.

Rescheduling in a timely manner is most important. Be realistic with yourself.........calling at the last minute to reschedule will earn you pissed off customers.

What's worse is trying to detail with an injury. I twisted my knee last July and am still in therapy. Luckily its just a weekend gig I do in the summer. I had a bad bruise in my meniscus and it put me down for the count. I couldn't kneel down to buff the lower panels and then when I did get down I couldn't get back up.

I would appreciate a notification prior to me either bringing my vehicle to your place of business, or you showing up at my home...for whatever time period you are contagious---with that time period being dependent upon the type of flu you have.

I would let you know that I definitely appreciate your considerations regarding my health and well-being:
Let's reschedule.

no kidding. I was detailing with a wicked case of tennis elbow last summer. One blessing of living in a state with winter...recovery time.
