Don't know how much you're willing to spend, but look for one that has at least these attributes :

-A "high-output" unit
-With a good fan/blower
-Has a rating of at least 14,000 mg/hr
-A sturdy well-made housing.....don't go for the "shiny" (SS) ones=$$$

I fell for the "shiny" (SS/Blk Lqr) appliances 8 years ago. Now I'm stuck constantly trying to keep them clean. Next time I'm going with white

Renny Doyle pushes one by Dynabreeze so you may want to look into that one as well. The other thing you should check out when you have time is an article on the EPA's site talking about ozone generators sold as air cleaning units. Found a place in Cleveland, Ohio that have them....priced in the $235-$750 range. Their Contractor Unit with 14,000mg/hr
is $575...looks like a nice one.

Another idea: Do you have a local janitorial supply house that offers rentals? (That's what I've done to 'clear the air' before selling a couple of houses). That way you can see the specs/brand of their ozone units for comparison sake before you splurge on one of your own.

Very interesting read. I know I've read about ozone being damaging to health and to avoid running or other forms of exercise during evening rush hour due to high levels of ozone (due to heavy breathing), but didn't realise it could effect rubber and electrical wire coatings too.
