pad cleaner

A friend of mine used it, and he says it works GREAT. I am thinking of picking some up... ON SALE!

I have used the XMT pad cleaner and it really works well. I was using my orange pad to clean my windows and hit the black rubber a few times. Turned the edges of my pad black. A few squirts of the XMT and it was good as new. I have not tried the WG.

I have used Pinnacle, DP, and Microrestore; I can't say I see that big of a difference between any of them, really...wolfgang's is the only one i did not try - i will have to order 1 too!

Have not used Wolfgang, but have used DP, and it works great.

:iagree:

I imagine the DP is pretty similar stuff just in a different package. Personally, I like to keep both DP and XMT pad cleaner on hand. The XMT works great on pads where the polish is crusted up on the surface of the pad. Plus, spray on and rinse off is a really easy procedure if you've just used one or two pads. The DP is great too, but since you have to mix up a bucket of it I usually only use it when I use more than two pads. Occasionally, I use it with fewer than 2 pads when the polish has really soaked into the pads.

For example, yesterday I detailed a car and used Blackfire SRC FP on one pad and Optimum Poli-Seal on another pad. The pad with BF cleaned up easily with the XMT, but the OPS pad had really soaked in the product. So, I mixed up a bucket of DP for the pad with OPS and poof all the polish was gone after soaking it a while.

I use the wolfgang and it does a great job on my LC pads. Mike...

I like the DP container better for storage, but both work equally great. Use to be a product called Snappy that was also similar.

Is it really neccessary to use a pad cleaner? I cant just use soap and water? I swear I wish I never found this site sometimes...

XMT here, works good enough for me.

Micro-Restore for MF's.

Micro -Restore?????? where to buy ?? A.G:confused: . '' can't find it..:(

I've used it and it works well but needs soaking time to do a good job. The XMT spray on cleaner is almost instantaneous which is what I've switched to simply to expedite the cleaning/drying process.

I also endorse Micro Restore for MF towels......simply superb.

MicroRestore also works great for getting that deep deep amount of Polish or Wax residue out for pads.

Soap and water works, just not as quickly and efficiently as the pad cleaners. I love the XMT pad cleaner. It's literally, squirt squirt, rub rub rinse and spin and you're ready to roll again. ;)

How about the XMT pad conditioner, has anyone tried it? I see they have a combo special...pad cleaner and conditioner.

Yep. The pad conditioner is great too. It gives your pad a nice prep for polishes. The entire XMT line is a winner. :applause:

the xmt pad cleaner and conditioner is nice, had a chance to use a sample a while back...as far as the wolfgang stuff it came in a packaged deal i bought from ag when my old pc finally went kaput and it works great as well...just not as fast. The wolfgang stuff is nice in that you can make a gallon or two of it and i just throw my towels and pads in and let them soak as i continue to detail...whe i'm done the towels go in the wash and the pads are ready to rinse off. a
