Pads and compounds

Any recommendations for a wash mit( wool,MF etc) I have a MF chenilles mitt or whatever it's called but it's a Walmart special. do I need a sealant protectant besides carnauba wax? Are those pine cone shaped wheel brushes worth it? How about a microfiber towel to wipe of compound/wax/ paint sealant( if I need sealant?
