Pads any good?

Read the forum rules man. You can't post links to sites outside of AG. It's kinda rude too, sending people to other sites when AG is trying to sell stuff and lets us have a free forum with unlimited photo storage and finally but not least free access to Mr. Mike Phillips

That is a piece of garbage harbor freight pad.

There's a 25% off sale going on now. Don't know anything about those pads but I'd pass

After spending $$$$ on a polisher or polishers, towels, compounds, polishes etc why would you skimp on the one thing that touches your paint and could cause damage???

If you like the hex foam compositions, just get the Buff and Shine flats.

:iagree:What he said!

Sorry, I apologize. Just am subscribed to a lot of forums and forgot this had its own site. I was pointed out these pads from another forum and just wanted a 2nd opinion on them.

It's a common oversight.

Seriously though, those hex logic pads are made by buff and shine. The foam compositions are the same.

The only reason I like the hex design, is because of reduced heat and surface tension. It's not even enough of a difference to be a "deal breaker" though.

I've used B&S flat pads for the last 5 years and have never had the Velcro separate, pad collapse in the center from heat or any shredding. Great pads!!

I've never used the HF pads on automotive paint, but I have used them to clean glass or polish my lawnmower. From the little I've used them, I don't think they're very durable.

I see them as something to use one things I can't really screw up and where my nice pads don't need to go.

When I started d/a polishing, I just started out with two each cutting and polishing. Those four pads have survived a LOT of torture since 2013. Obviously today I have dozens on reserve, and take four with me on details. They are extremely durable.

I did have four pads delaminate, but that was from CG, when they tried to cut corners, or ran out of the b&s made pads... If he gets the pafs from AG, he can rest assured that he gets genuine b&s pads every time.

That's an awesome idea.
