Hey Mike, One of these days when you have a lot of time on your hands and don't know what to do with yourself, could you write an article on the various pads? I mean you got your Cobra Cross Groove, Lake Country Flat & Smart & Hydro Tech & Kompessor pads; 5.5", 6.5", 7.5", & 8.5" pads. So specifically, on a PC 7424XP what pads for what purposes? Or a Flex, Griot's Random Orbital, Meguiar's Dual Action, Makita, DeWalt (who am I leaving out?) I think you get this idea. I know what the manufacturers say, but what has been your experience. What was the purpose behind Cross Groove vs. Hydro Tech, etc.? Another example- what size pads for the various machines? Some suggest that when using a PC 7424XP, use LC 5.5" pads not 6.5" pads. Anyway, get the point of the question?
Thanks man-

Great post. I would like to see this too. I am just getting ready to order some LC flat 5.5 pads after using the LC 5.5 CCS pads. I don't know if I am making the right move (from ccs to flats). The CCS pads just don't seem to last very long for me. Will I run into the same problem with the flats? I don't know. Maybe I should try a different brand than LC? I just tried the Surbuff pad today (5.5) and it worked great with the GG6 and 105. I noticed they clog up pretty quick. I need to order more.
