Pads

I'm not sure if I buy into the cross-contamination idea when it comes to polishes. If you clean your pad, then there should be nothing significant to cross-contaminate.
If nothing else, clean your polishing pads thoroughly to reduce dusting in the next use. A pad full of dry polish throws a lot of dust. This is one reason I do not buy used pads, anymore.

I do not either, which is why I said cleaning your pads is critical to remove embedded dirt and abraded paint (you can't see it on CLEAR coat cars, but it's very much there. On a single stage paint you can see it clearly).
Although I wouldn't use a pad I used with M105 with M205 until I cleaned the pad well.

Yeah..... I'll clean pads like crazy.

The one thing that doesn't tend to want to come out is sealant. (Or at least not to the point where I'd use that pad for polishing next time around.) Those pads end up always doing sealant. You know how stubborn those "German Polymers" are after all.
