Paint abrasion, horrible touch up job

I think when I decide to work on it again, if I can manage to get the paint pen to put down a very light coat, it should be able to buff to a level surface and make it invisible to even myself.

Last picture here is centered on the abrasion:

Awesome!

Thank you so much for taking the time to take pictures and then get them into this thread with your follow-up post... most people don't make the follow-up post let alone take and process the before and after pictures.

Way to go! Congrats on getting it done right!

WOW!!! Now I have the guts to work on some paint chip fixes I did and work on a scuff on my front bumper. I will get paint down first then go with the sanding like you did. Nice job!!!

Thanks everyone.

With that massive glob of paint, I figured I had to take shots of pretty much everything I did. If it went wrong, I wanted to know what I needed to correct in my technique. But I always like before and after shots so either way it's a win win.

Will update further when I decide it needs more done. It's hard to notice, but eventually I'll want to try to fill it in more.

Hey Brent!

Now how cool is that!! :wow:

I'd say you can't get much better than that and I'm glad you took your time and approached this gingerly!

Man did that come out nice!! :applause:
