paint cleaner question

Quick question, can the meguiars paint cleaner that is at any local autozone a good remedy for getting the paint ready for sealing? I'm finishing up getting my mustang polished up and want something clearcoat friendly to make sure the paint is clean. thoughts? Thanks in advanced!

of Meguiar's are you inquiring about?

For example:
-SwirlX
-ScratchX
-Ultimate Compound
-Ultimate Polish
-Rubbing Compound
-Polishing Compound

if your using a Dual action polisher these 2 will be fine
Ultimate Compound
-Ultimate Polish.

If you doing this by hand, You might want to think of a cleaner wax to use. LIke Meguiars Black Wax

Sorry, I didnt word this question correctly. I was looking for a paint cleaner to prep the surface before sealing but it did not need to be meguiars. I was trying to find the best method possible to preping the surface. I know many professionals are on this page and don't like using over the counter products as i'm kind of the same way.

this is what I was referring to...I used this on my '14 focus just today but I can't find this product anymore.


After I created this post my good friend recommended this product from sonax.
SONAX Premium Class Paint Cleaner, car polish cleaner, sonax car polish cleaner, Sonax premium paint cleaner

Does anybody have any experience with this product and is there any alternatives/better product(s) to use?

again it does not need to be meguiars but i'm just looking for the best method/product to use. I'm extremely picky with my mustang and only want to use the best of products on it.

I don't know anything about the Sonax, but any of the Meguiar's products listed will likely give better results that the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. I'm pretty sure they discontinued it a while ago and have come out with better products since then.
