If you're going to full out polish, use a nice sealant after, just my 2 centsThanks for the quick response, so after polishing this would be a great step?

OHHH!! Thanks for the heads up, so I should KAIO before polishing to have a nice prep surface. Should I KAIO after polishing too, since the twins work better with each other? For my detailing routine, I wash, clay, KAIO and THEN I compound/polish and finally apply the LSP. To me KAIO is a cleanser that allows the paint to pass the "plastic baggie test." Yes it does have some sealant but that's not why I'm using it. You don't want to start compounding/polishing unless the paint is perfectly clean. Best cleanser product I've tried and I've tried several. If the vehicle is in excellent condition, you might not need the compounding or polishing step. And fwiw, my LSP of choice is Blackfire Crystal Seal. Doesn't get easier or better imo.
KAIO is a paint cleaner, probably the best chemical cleaner there is, however there are better products for most problems. I find I'm using it less and less these days.
I am in the same boat sadly. I love(d) klasse AIO, and its actually the first "serious" detailing product I ever bought years ago but as I've gotten more into various polishes, its kind of just sitting there now. Its nice on wheels and other things, and has a sense of nostalgia to me, so I dont think i'll ever be out of stock on AIO.
Thats an interesting idea on the Klasse before polishing ... i may give that a whirl. I HAVE used it after polishing to make sure the surface is cleaned, and it worked nice for that as well... so as the story unfolds, it looks like there are still plenty of uses for AIO in my garage.
But would'nt the KAIO be enough to clean the surface by itself, or do you apply the Menzerna as a "to be sure its clean" step?Felt the same way until I got involved in getting the paint to pass the plastic baggie test. Claying alone will not do the job and if you polish with grit still embedded into the paint....you won't get the same result. Try using the KAIO right after you clay and then put the plastic bag to it - you'll be amazed. FWIW, after using KAIO I wipe the paint down with Menzerna Top Inspection, just to get the surface chemical/sealant free before polishing or applying the LSP.

KAIO tends to leave a little hint of acrylic sealer behind so it has a little protection or allows the KSG to bond better with the paint surface.
I'm going to surprise everyone here and recommend DG 501..hahahhaha. No, seriously, I know I write about it all the time, but for a very good reason(s): it works, it's cheap, it can be combined with 601 to be immediately topped and it looks great all on its own. You will be disgusted at what comes out on your pad on your supposedly clean paint!
Guess that for now I have to conform with the KAIO, since Im detailing my car this saturday
I was just reading a article about IPA, can I make a quick batch for my saturday detailing project as a quick paint cleaner?
