I've searched the forum, but can't seem to find this question. I have a 2013 Audi A7, it has a few chips on the hood, but I am ok with that. My question is; Will it affect a paint coating in a negative way. I just want to protect the rest of the paint. i was thinking of going with GTechniq EXO and CSL Kit.
Thanks!

If that's the case...

Then before applying the Coating
to the chipped areas...I'll suggest
to make sure the chipped areas have
been made free of any existing rust;
and, also: made free from any further
rust formation occurrences...as is
humanly possible.

i did this on my front bumper in some places. i haven't noticed it hurting anything. if anything its helped protect from the elements obviously to prevent further peeling etc....most of the time though before i coat i'll use dr color chip, fill it then coat it. only if the spots really bother me!

You didn't look up any of my Show & Shines, LOL. I do paint touch ups on virtually every car I do. I always coat over top of them. My advise is to let the paint touch ups dry for at least 4 hours, 12 is better. Coatings with higher solvent content are more likely to pull out the paint from the chip. The longer it dries, the least likely the paint will get removed.
