Well I'm not sure how this guy found me, he lives a good thirty minutes from me it a little po-dunk town. Anyway, calls me up and says his truck has swirls and wants it cleaned up on the outside. I quote him $150 for one step polish and wax... told him to go online and look at pics of the bonneville I did and he was sold, also checked out the engine detail i did on a f-250 and wanted that done as well, so I quoted him $200 and he was sold again.

This truck is a monster, sits on 37" tires and atleast a 5" suspension lift!! Definately not fitting in my garage, so i was up at 7 a.m. to start on this bad boy! I degreased the engine, sprayed it off, degreased again.... then dried with compressor then dressed with RL engine dressing.

On the paint, I did my little SIP/IP/106ff combo via yellow pad... the paint needed wool pad and compound, I took off the first layer of swirls, but there were more underlaying... definately need to get a Metabo (anyone wants to get me a B-day present, the Metabo combo Ag sells would be great!:D)

After the pass I rewashed, then hit it with 360 via orange CCS pad... all done with UDM. Then for the final wipe, I used Liquid Souveran spray wax. I dressed the tires with RL, and actually coated the wheels with RL tire dressing, they are the teflon coated wheels, but they were more grey than black, once i put the dressing on the were as black as the truck.... so they matched. Wheel wells AA tire foam, and RL qd for door jams. I was the truck D2G soap via foam cannon and Ulti mitt.

WOW Dust2Glory great job, some nice reflection shots!

Looks like a great job Dust :D Love the reflections!!

Great job! Awesome reflections! And that engine detail is sweet.
On your Menz combo.....all 3 polishes on the same yellow pad? About how much of each do you put on the pad?

UUmmmm.... i mixed it in a bottle. and i went through 2 yellow pads. I would say 1/4 sip; 1/4 ip; 1/2 106ff.... the 106 seems to help minimize dusting

So all that work was done with the UDM?? You can safely use a wool pad on the UDM as well as a rotary? Does this remove the scratches alot faster than a yellow foam pad and a compound?

Pat.

Nice turn around on that vehicle Dust. I like the way the engine bay was done, looks good. The paint is very nice, black is always very rewarding when detailed properly. Well done, truck looks great.

Thank you for sharing.

alright brother it's a deal... I have never used PB polish's, the only thing you can do is try it out and see what happens!

Great job on that monster! Everything is bigger in Texas!

The engine detail is really nice and the reflections on that black are perfect. You got the secret formula soap and now polish too, what's next?

Let's see, soap, polish...tire gel, I've mixed paste wax. I'm not too sure there's much left. But thanks none the less!!

That's a huge truck! Love that engine detail you have done! great job on paint too!

AWESOME DODGE! You cannot beat a black Cummins truck, great work! I know how much paint there is on those things...

Great work as usual bro! Man that black is so reflective it's like looking in a mirror. Heck you could have showed him ANY of your S&S and he would have been sold. I bet he has the best looking truck in his little po dunk town!
