Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

Are you using 5.5" or 6.5" pads? It makes a big difference in correction ability, especially on a PC.

One of the best days of my life was when I upgraded from a PC to a Flex. Yes the PC works but it takes soooo long in comparison to a Flex or a Rupes. My 10 y.o. son came out and started helping me with polishing so he was using the PC. I felt bad for him and that's when I picked up the Rupes. Now he gets a lot more work done. OP just keep at it and you'll get it. I found the microfiber pads cut much better with the PC than foam.

3 suggestions:

- Use speed 6 on the machine while compounding. The PC is pretty weak but it can correct just as well as a Flex, Rupes, Rotary, etc. if used properly. Sure it might be a little slower but you'll still get the same end results: swirl free paint.
- Use as much downward pressure as possible and still keep the pad rotating.
- Don't use QD to prime the pad. It is unnecessary if you are priming the pad with product and will simply dilute the cutting ability of your compound.

Have faith in the PC! Accomplished via PC7424XP, Meg's MF Cutting Pad & M205 finishing polish:

I use the PC with WG total swirl remover 3.0 on a LC flat pad (orange) and I've never had a problem. Well recently I did but the car I was working on was so scratched it was on the verge of needing a paint job.
