Paint oxidation

I wonder how the hood is going now?

Mike l I had forgotten i was able to save a red porche several years ago after using #7. The red paint did not respond to polishing so I though the paint was dead but starting to mess around with different products and the #7 completely revialized it .

I told the owner I did not know if it would last but year later he said it still looked fine . I was so surprized and pleased!

I was thinking more about the klassee and Ive used it on single stage paint and not been very happy with the results. It really only has a mild polishing ability so Im really hoping this red hood just needed more aggressive polish to get off the oxidized layer.

One of the things that the #7 has that other non-Meguiar's products don't have is the unique oil base. It's these polishing oils, first introduced in their furniture line in 1901 that works so well on single stage paints. Cleaning old oxidized paint is one thing but it's when these unique oils penetrate into the paint that they restore and revitalize the color of a single stage paint. No oil... nor restore...

Also, #7 is water soluble, so after restoring a finish with it you want to apply a coat of wax or paint sealant to seal it in and everything else out...
