Hey guys. Is the CEM DT-156 a good paint thickness gauge for $100.00 or can a better product be had for a similar price? Looking to buy soon so the more opinions/tboughts the better.

Thanks.

Interested aswell 😀 was looking at the CEM DT156 and the CM8801FN, both similar price range and both with great reviews. Lots of detailers seem to recommend the CM8801FN, hope to hear some more opinions ☺

I purchased the DT-156
Haven't t used it yet

Another one would be the FNF-01
Would of gotten this one if I researched more, but of the 3 listed I'm sure they work equally as well

I've got a CM8801FN and a DeFelsko Positector 200ADV (multi-layer, multi-substrate) thickness gauge. One was Under $200, one was over $2,000. I use the cheap one 99% of the time because it's faster, takes measurements just fine, and I'm less worried about it breaking.

I've been using the CEM DT 156 for a couple of years now and have absolutely no complaints
