Greetings All, I am finding the time to paint my calibers on my Benz E550. Any do's and don't since this is my first time?

Thanks in advance!

^^ But that won't help. He said he wants to paint his "calibers" lol :poke:

LoL....Ok people....Clearly from the responses I don't know what I am doing. I can certainly laugh at myself and glad u'all can laugh to. Ah, don't want to Google it. Can someone give me some good advise.

If you want to do a good job, you need to disasemble them, paint them off the car, all the prep work etc. Then re-install after their cured, bleed the brake system.

As far as what paint you should use, well thats up to debate. Dupli-Color caliper paint is nice.

I use the duplicolor brush on with good results. The up side is less prep work and don't have to mask much or worry about overspray.

Yep that's the one I've used.good stuff!
Plus lots of extra for more coats or if u need a touch up down the road.

I've used g2 brake caliper kit with good results. Leaves a hard enamel like paint. Easy to clean and durable

I use Rustoleum oil base in a can. Lays on thick and shines great. Learned it from a Dodge forum.

Sent from my Galaxy Note II using AG Online

I sprayed mine and they look great a year later. I don't drive it every day though. Prep, as always, is everything. Oh yeah, If you spray ..........COVER YOUR CAR!!!!! Learned that the hard way

Duplicolor I believe came out with an even better painting caliper system. I saw this week on Truck U.
