Hey guys, was wondering on how I should approach this...…….still has a little POR15 left on it that I have to get off...…..I had the whole thing painted with the por15 but it turned out bad, yeah, drinking was involved. lol

Dipped the part in paint thinner, took quite a bit of it off, which I thought wasn't possible, had to use the wire brush for the rest of it.

How do I go about this. Get a etching primer, then a primer than paint. Was hoping to do this for a few bucks.

Not sure the part is galvanized metal or not...…….the part is from my 66.

Didn't want to go with the por15 due to cost.

Also, anyone know of something that will take this por15 off, getting of sanding until the end of time.

Know anyone who has, or may have access to a sand blasting machine, Rich?

Hey Paul, how you doing buddy, don't know anyone with a sand blasting machine, but a guy in town from the cemetery place does them, but you have to wait until he gets a few pieces to do...….could be a week or two...……..its coming off with the 40 grit sandpaper, just taking forever though.

I was wondering if I could use that Rhino covering for truck cabs...……..this part goes behind my bumper on the car, so your not gonna see it one way or the other, just have to take the bumper off to do this, so I want to make sure its done right, it goes between the gas tank and rear bumper, so maybe you might get some gas on it, probably not though.

Take care buddy

If you can't see it, you should have stuck with the Por-15 and had a few more beers. Lol

But, Rhino-liner would work I would think.
