Palm Beach Motoring Continues Expanding in 2011

Can't wait to see where this leads. Glad to see that company is expanding. Will this acquisition bring more products to Autogeek?

This is a quite an expansion Meghan and congratulations to everyone! :props:

Since I'm a forum member on just about all the forums you've mentioned will the acquisitions affect the forums on the other sights?

Will products offered on the other sites be offered through Autogeek?

Will links to products or information from these other sites now be permitted on Autogeek forums?
Please remember Autopia and Autogeek are going to be completely separate, separate staff and everything. Then only thing in common will be PBMA owns them. This is just like 3M buying Meguiars, not much at Meguiars changed.

I don't check out Detail City too much, but I'm confused about the "exclusive sponsor" status of ACC, as there still seems to be a Sponsored Forum section at DC :dunno:
Detail City is now exclusively sponsored by Autopia Car Care store.

I'm wondering the same thing, and especially wondering about the fact that Poorboy's still has a sponsored forum at DC despite ACC not listing any of their products.
Poorboys will be on Autopia shortly. Remember that site did not have much left on it so PBMA is doing it's best to breath life back into that store.

Time will only tell!:props:

Congrats to PBMA! That's a huge acquisition for you guys.

Congrats to AG !!!! Great news..:xyxthumbs:

Thanks Pat, I know you have been around the Autopia circle for a long time, hopefully PBMA can get the site back to the good old days! :dblthumb2:

Ouch, that was fast! Too bad for Poorboy Steve, DC was his home...hopefully he'll still be welcome here (and there). I know he's got his own place, but that never seemed to get much traffic.

Um...but, from what I can see, a lot has changed, Lynn is gone, and order fulfillment will be at your facility instead of at Four Star or where it was before in Bradenton (3 hours away). So nothing has changed except the ownership and all the people? (Don't take that the wrong way, as the owner PBMA has the prerogative to do whatever they want; it just seems like a lot HAS changed.)

I am glad to hear of the new acquisitions. On the other hand I also hope that AG hasn't bitten off more than it can chew, only time will tell on that front. With all considered I do hope that Lynn will be a new member of AG in some shape or form, I feel she would be a valuable addition to the staff. Keep on Truckin' Autogeek, I'm on your side all the way (like that and a quarter will get you a phone call.)

Max, listen to me please: DON'T get so big that you lose touch with the customers. Think Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, and others. Ever been frustrated there as a customer? Don't let it happen to AG with the expansion!!!!!!!!!

AG will never get to big to not taking care of the customers, that is why Autopia falls under the PBMA umbrella, it will not change anything at Autogeek. Autopia will be run separate then Geek, I think John put it best when he said in Nascar you have an owner like Joe Gibbs or Hendrick Motorsports... they have a lot of drivers on their team and they compete against each other like they would another driver but they share the capital and the technology of the team.
That's the best way I can explain it to you, but if you have any questions please feel free to ask. We enjoy and learn from the customers input, something we learned from day one and that will never change.

What about all my Ultima friends in Bradenton????

Actually PBMA is now Master Distributors for Four Star, Ultima and Sonus. PBMA is working with these brands and the owners to help make them even stronger in the car care industry.

One thing you must do in business, is always remember where you came from. You keep that in your memory and you will always treat each customer as your only customer! Max has instilled that in all of us, so no worries we are here same as yesterday, will be same as tomorrow.
Business as usual at the Geek! ;)

Congrats Max & AG staff!!! Your Customer Service is # 1!!!!:xyxthumbs:

thanks for the concern :thankyousign:

I am still at Detail City and I'm also here, but usually lurking

After 8 years there it's not that easy to get rid of me :bat: :D

...and that would be Autopia car care not .org ;)

Congrats to everyone at Autogeek and Autopia. I think this was a great move as now all the loyal customers of Autopia can have new life breathed into that store and we all know the passion of AG will filter down there as well.

So far 2011 has been very interesting and we are just in February. Lookign to see what else you have in store for us! :)

With Max it is always interesting, he is always working on ways to bring the best car care to everyone in the best manner he can. Max has a true passion for this industry and is always working to see what he can do to better improve it.

Preaching to the choir, my friend :props:

As a business owner/operator, business administration student, and former employee of an organization that chose NOT to employ that philosophy myself, I hold businesses and business people who understand what it takes to garner true success in very high regard.

Megan (and all AG )
Congrats on your latest venture...and no doubt that with the people in place you will continue to do a first class operation. I am content to keep all my detailing parts/supplies with you all..and to see you expand even more is great as it will give us more options in the future. Keep going guys and gals. More power to you!!
