Wow...20 years ago, I was afraid to use a wheel on my car, so I did it all by hand and my garage then was called "The Mequiars Compound" by a fellow forum member, times sure have changed

I had to see for myself…

Good lord that’s 10/10 Cringe level stuff man
I forced myself through about 30min. or so while reading the complete backlash in the comments but I cannot take anymore, I started feeling physically ill from an overdose of cringe…

And it’s one thing to make yourself look bad, but unknowingly to him he also brought down that new Detail com. and tossed all their credibility down the toilet… I wouldn’t buy anything from either of them after watching that. Smh.

You deserve a medal Ric...30 minutes

I didn't see a SINGLE positive comment...anywhere

There's a 3rd company there too, that E.C. guy who's some cross between DJ Kalid, Vince from ShamWow and a horrible comedian

Lmao. Damn you’re spot on with that description of the dude!

Straight to video...urrrr, Amazon, this How about that second paragraph, can I buy a bulldozer on Amazon, there's a massive amount of bull to move there!

I looked at the price too, dumber than Pan even as it's more expensive! Speaking of Pan, his product line will end up on Amazon, millions of regular Joe's don't know him and his shtick, perfect place to push that "propitary blend" sh!t

His supporters have turned up here! He said how long he spent on the computer, well, he rallied the troops for sure.

After this video, I'm out and won't post any more of his videos here myself but I'm going to suffer through this video to hear it all

I thought YouTube was his full time job, 1M+ subs and all
I haven't watched him in years, I know when he started he said his "organizer" skills were from or helpful in his day job, I don't remember if he said what his day job was. Maybe I'm not remembering right. I can certainly see how he could have gone full time with the YouTube thing.

I don't know anything about this Jimbo guy, why does he keep getting lumped in with Pan/EC/Jamie?

Because Jimbo reviewed products, now he's got his own, it's a trend now apparently

So I listened to the video so you don't have to, unless you want to and by all means, please

Here's my take away points:

-It's not white label, about 5x's

-I encourage competition, multiple times

-These are my own propitory formulas, numerous times

-When I say something it's true

-I've worked hard to come out with my own line

-Only the best chemists in the world have made my products

One point he brought up made me laugh out loud, Ivan isn't a competitor...HE HAS HIS OWN LINE OF DETAILING PRODUCTS, infact a 2nd line now, WHO YOU CRAPPIN'

These are the usual explanations. And all these guys describe the process, where they get multiple consecutive formulas that keep getting refined until it's just what they want. And I believe that it's proprietary to them, in that the blender has it written down as "Pan's formula #14". That doesn't mean it's unique in the world, it's just like if your grandmother makes her famous chocolate chip cookies, she adds a little more vanillin to your batch because she knows you like it that way.

And since I didn't watch the vid (because I didn't have to), how did Yvan get into the discussion?

Great comparison

Ivan and him are friends and countrymen, said he's a mentor and first person to congratulate him. He also defended the spray polish thing too, thing is, Optimum was the only company who offered a spray wax years ago, Ivan was there then, now DIY Detail has one, ofcoarse and it just so happens Pan has one

Oh, I haven't really looked at Pan's line, I didn't realize he had a spray polish. You know that OCW was Optimum's first product, it was originally called Sun Wax, and that was way before Yvan was there.

Yvan was just a detail shop owner up there in Montreal, and became a big user of OPT products, and as usually happens at Optimum, he got the ear of Dr. G for a while (Dr. G is a chemist, not a detailer, and relies on detailers for direction and feedback, longer story than that). Apparently Dr. G was sick for a while and Yvan and Dann wound up steering the ship for a couple years, and during that time Yvan sold his business because he was so involved with OPT. When Dr. G got better he didn't like the port the ship had wound up in, and parted ways with Yvan and Dann.

At least that's what I've pieced together from the Optimum forum, etc.

To me it looks like EC and Jamie the Cleaner have a choice to make. They can come out with their own video distancing themselves from the comments made by Pan in the awards video. Or they can stick with Pan and suffer the consequences.

With this awards video Pan has shown himself to be first and foremost a self serving products peddler. Then on top of it attempted to defend his actions which to many were blatantly clear thereby alienating further many of his casual viewers.

Of course he has many defenders that hang on Pans every word. They appear to have blinders on and seem to want to appoint Pan to sainthood. It will be interesting to see if Pan attempts to backpeddle from this catastrophe and come out with another video attempting to spin this whole situation.

Attempted damage control. The awards video has been taken down.
Oh really

I wonder if it had anything to do with the conga line of comments sating he shouldn't have did that

The "update" or damage control video has alot of positive comments and to stop worrying about the haters or 1% I read about. Bottom line, this guy single handedly, brought it ALL on himself
