Panel wipe and sealant

First and as always great test

Now with 914 being said to leave things behind I wouldn't find accurate when it's the recommended panel wipe before you coat with McKees coating. I don't see why it would he recommended if it left anything behind that could interfere with the coating.

100% with you. My thinking (flawed) was that any soap would leave some surfactant would interfere with how it would sheet water. I was seeing some inconsistency and jumped to that conclusion. But then in a somewhat controlled test, I could not see a difference. I will likely still pressure wash just to ensure a good rinse, but the soap seems fine.

I’ve just read Mike’s articles about “miscible substances” yesterday while getting pretty deep in the science of all of this. Maybe it has something to do with that aspect?
I.E gyeon prep with their coatings, carpro eraser with their coatings, and mckees n914 with their coatings.

(I’m banking on myself being wrong because i read it at 4am...) but the word miscible and immiscible comes to mind.
 
One thing about n-914, McKees says to use the panel strength wipe prior to using their coating. With that in mind, I'd say that n-914 doeanteave anything behind..

Not sure miscibily is a factor here, especially over a coating. I read miscible as mixable liquids. Oil and water: not miscible. Alcohol and water are miscible (as opposed to becoming a solution).
