Paste wax problem

I have a tin of Collinite 476 and after many uses I have used up all the wax in the center of the container, but I have an adequate amount around the perimeter. Is there a good way to redistribute the wax so it's evenly leveled in the tin container? Maybe heating it up in boiling water? I'm sure this has been asked but couldn't find anything on it.

I’m not an expert, but I know Kevin Brown melts tins of m16 and will pour it back into the tin before he sells it, to ensure a proper consistency.

I can only assume it’s not a big deal to do it.

A few cases.. geez. I have one tin, my friend gave it to me in 2005 I believe, after my first year working with him. I haven’t used it more than 3-4 times since then. I probably should since my car is a darker red...

Mines since split in half in the container. I have been considering heating it up to get it to flow back together.

Whenever I wore through the wax in the middle of the tin, I'd just wipe the applicator around the perimeter to pick up the wax.

I once tried melting down some Mother's Carnauba Wax years ago. Didn't turn out well.

Two words: Butter knife

It's what I use to spread wax onto my applicators. Insures that no potential contamination will make its way back into the wax tub.

If it were me, just by a new jar of wax instead of going through the trouble of using the last remaining wax.

i disagree, there's probably enough to do 1-3 cars worth (thin coats). as mentioned above, dlc95 has some good advice...

I kind of hold these products with high regard, and to waste even a little goes against my mindset.

What countries is it for sale in? I travel a bit for business around the world. Might be able to pick some up if I know which places might have it.

You don’t need to melt it, just warm it up a bit. it's like butter, crumbly when cold but spreads when warmed up. I just use a plastic thin scraper to reach the sides of the tin or as the other gentleman said, a butter knife.

If you talking about M16, I have 2 cans that I have never used and hoping to someday but have so much lsp’s its going to take a lifetime just to try them all. M16 is available in the UK.
