Here's a suggestion...

Watch the bottom of the forum homepage for an upcoming Thursday night project here at Autogeek and then a get a buddy to split the driving and gas and drive over and be a part of one of our projects.

Not only is it very educational, you'll also make some great new friends, have a lot of fun and you'll get to work on some real cool cars.

And even though you might not own a car like we work on here at Autogeek, here's the deal...

YOU USE THE SAME TECHNIQUES TO WORK ON YOUR CAR


I could bring in new transportation cars every time we do thees project but simply put... there's just no excitement on the part of anyone to work on modern transportation cars.

So instead, I bring Eye Candy. The kind of cars you see on Chip Foose's Show, or Stacy David's show etc.

I enjoy the fact that this thread advocates paying professionals, yet your signature indicates that professionals can be outdone by amateurs. Obviously, not in your specific example, but it still made me giggle.

Don't do it. The guy will have the perfect excuse why your car didn't turn out "right". Your on these forums - so your interested. You gotta learn for yourself.

You can't "detail" a car correctly (initial detail) without some type of machine. If its a money issue, get the Harbor Freight DA or a used PC.

Maybe he thought the guy was a "professional"....Price does not always reflect how good somebody is.
