Does Natty blue, red and white stain trim? How much durability are you guys getting from them?

After waxing a jeep wrangler I most definitely need to figure out which waxes i have stain trim and which dont!

I also have Coli 845 and 915 both of which i am sure do

DP Max wax and DP policoat

I know OPT car wax and optiseal and poliseal dont...

I havent had nattys red or blue stain any trim on me, but then again I dont purposely apply it to them either.

Durability wise it is pretty low. 3-4 weeks max for me in the northeast part of the country, no toppers(qd/spraywax.)

I've played a little with the blue, been getting at least 4 weeks with the PB stuff here in the hot/humid south and that is on a car that is out 7/24.

I don't think it does stain, but I'm not 100%. I haven't had any staining issues.

If your not sure, probably the best thing to do is tape off the areas your worried about.

Never seen any staining with Red, but I am fairly careful always anyway.

I get about 3 weeks out of Red in South Florida heat.

I use red to top 845 or 915 depending....

I use it to get that glow and gloss red has...

I say 3-5 weeks tops for red.

I have used the Blue many times on cars (looks really great on dark colored cars) no staining at all......great product !!

I agree, no staining with Natty's Blue from me. I've only had mine on for 2 weeks, but it's still going as strong as day 1. We'll see at the end of this month what it looks like.

No staining issues with Blue. But it does stain the foam applicator real bad. Had a hard time removing the blue color on there. :)

No complaints here from the red, white, or blue. Im also careful but layer I get about four weeks from a blue-red combo. It looks amazing but I am a wax waster:)

the DP products should not stain trim either, as neither have any polishes or cleaners in them. As offered, try to mask areas or really pay attention to trim as possible to always keep any staining to minimum.

Never had any staining with Nattys Blue. Durabilty is right around a month. I also have it topped on Wolfgang DGPS.

What kind of tape do you use to tape off a car?

Most people either use the blue painters tape or green automotive tape.

Both can easily be found at your local hardware/walmart/target stores.

I've used Natty Blue and it doesn't stain any of my rubber trims, it actually made them darker lol.

I've had good luck with PB Red wax... great stuff for the price. only about 5 weeks max here in VA near the ocean with little up keep (washing)

I've used Red and no staining. I'm going on week 3 right now and it's starting to go so I'll be rewaxing next week.

I would never have thought of doing that. I wonder how it would look if you addeda layer of white to that.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread. I am looking to try Natty's blue of EX-p for the first time this weekend. I was planning to re-seal and wax every 8 weeks but a lot of people are mentioning that Natty's blue only lasts about 4 weeks so can I re apply a coat directly over the existing stuff after a good wash. i.e. layering it at the 4 week point and strip/reapply at the 8 week point.

I am in Socal so the weather is nice and I use a spray QD+wax after my weekly washes.

Sorry if this seems analretentive I am just trying to make sure I have a good picture in my head of the process.
Thanks
-Roy
