I posted a while back about buying PB QW+ and I finally got a chance to put it to full use.

We have had some cold days and the forecast for this weekend was warmer weather. On the way home yesterday I stopped at the car wash to get my Cowboy boots (I'm from Texas!) shined and yes, I ran the car through for a wash and vac. I know, I know, a sad choice. But, hey, my boots looked awesome!

This afternoon, the weather warmed up so I got out the PB QW+. I used an MF applicator and a Cobra Indigo MF to remove the wax. I sprayed the wax on a few places, like the hood and this worked okay, but I found it better to spray on the applicator. Less over spray that way.

The QW+ was easy to apply. I did the whole car sans half the hood and trunk lid to see if there was a difference. I then used the Indigo MF to remove and it was surprisingly easy to remove. I say that because I applied it thin but it looked thick (see the photos).

I could see a little difference in the half and half but I don't think the camera could pick up the subtle difference. After the whole car had been waxed with the QW+ I grabbed my PB Spray & Gloss and a plush MF. After that I applied some Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel to the tires.

I liked the way the QW+ went on and off. It was indeed quick. It cleaned off some water spots left from the crappy car wash the evening before.

On to the pictures!

Half trunk waxed, half naked. The clouds moved it so you can't see the subtle difference:

Looks nice! Thanks for the review.

I love spray & gloss, but have never used QW+. How would you compare it to other spray wax type products.

I didn't really care for mine, its almost the same amount of work as using a normal wax. Souveran Spray and DG Aquawax are much, much better...easier/quicker to use and AW has good durability.

I still have 3/4 a gallon of the original, it was a nice spray wax option but many newer products (like Souveran Spray) are easier with nice results.

I've tried PB QW+ ,Souveran Spray and DG Aquawax. I use Souveran Spray or DG Aquawax excusively now. Easy on, easy off!:buffing:

The Souveran Spray is far easier to use and smells like cookies! It looks great too, a wet deep look, but it doesn't last very long. I've used Aquawax and it to is easy to use and seems to protect well but I don't care for the finished look. It seems to mute the finish IMO.

I think the PB QW+ was easier/ faster to apply than a paste wax. I'll be interested to see how well it holds up.

Looks good reddwarf but I can't believe you took your jag through I car wash. Now you're going to need to polish it next weekend.

Glad to see you've had the trunk fixed, are you happy with the work?

The trunk has not been fixed, the picture was taken above the scratch. But thanks for thinking of me!

I'm putting off spending money for a while.

On a somewhat related topic. The weather is even nicer here today. It's in the 70's! I waxed the wife's Quest with Natty's Red after a quick wipe down with PB S&W. I followed up the N. Red with some S&G. No pictures.

The Natty's Red was easy to apply and remove but no where as easy as the QW+. Which makes sense of course. But I was glad to confirm it.

On a more related topic, the Jag is looking good today after the QW+ and SG yesterday.

I tried QW+ as a standalone and beading stopped after about 5 days. Maybe they changed the formula? Its not a bad product, just doesn't compare to Souveran Spray or AW.

I agree with others, in that too many other spray waxes are far easier to use.

Like many others on this forum I respect Surfer's opinions. I thought for sure PB would not sell a product that lasted only 5 days! Course, it is hard to compare as conditions vastly vary and I believe Surfer when he says about 5 days. But I'm happy to report mine lasted longer than 5 days. After 8 days, I washed my car. Before washing I sprayed some water on the car to see what kind of beading I would get. It looks good to me! I'll have to see how it holds up for next week's wash now.

It was a beautiful day and I was really tempted to slap on a coat of wax but I restrained myself and washed my wife's Quest instead.
