I just purchased some TRD matte black wheels for my Toyota Tacoma. I was looking into using a wheel coating for the first time to protect them. Any preferences between PBL Wheel Coating & CQuartz DLUX Wheel Coating? I don't mind if they add some shine to the matte black. I've read reviews on both but I'm still having a hard time deciding. Thanks for any help!

If I had to personally choose between these two products,
I'd take into consideration the following:

-There have been so many different variations to the below
Avi@CarPro posting...
RE: as to what car components/materials DLUX can/can't be used on/for...

-That I'd just go ahead and use the
wheel-specific PBL Wheel Coating.
Would be less complicated for me that way.

DLUX made mostly for non painted plastic, bare plastic bumpers

Thanks guys. I will pick up some PBL on my next purchase. One more question, I use Optimum Power Clean to clean my tires before I apply Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Will the OPC harm the PBL Wheel Coating? It's hard to keep the OPC overspray off the edges of the wheel.

No, it won't. You may have to rinse a bit more thoroughly, or go over the wheels with a wash mitt, as the OPC will leave a film that alters the water behavior. Of course, one jog down the road is liable to put enough brake dust on then to do the same.
