Will the menz. intensive polish(po91E) and Final polish (po85u) or the nano polish (po106ff) work very well with the porter cable. I have been using xmt products, but thought I would try the menz. Just not sure which menz. products to buy for daily drivers

They will work with it but not as well as with a rotary. This is what they were designed for. The PC cannot generate enough heat to break down the polish/compounds correctly.

You will need to add a lot of pressure and take your time. Try not to use them on a cool, humid day either.

These are just my experiences.

They can be used with the pc and will give you better results, if you want the best results from Menzerna a rotary is needed.
As far as alot of pressure as said above, I don't find that to be true, it is more of finding the right pad combo with the polish.

yeah..am sometimes on PC with Menzerna...it will work..like Asphalt Rocket had mentioned u do need lots of time..

however having said this..thinking of getting the Makita 9227c for cutting..and the PC for buffing...

I could use the Menzerna Intensive all day with a rotary with no problem at all... but on a PC it'll almost instantly dust on me, which wouldn't happen when using a rotary for some reason. I tried less product, more product, working it in longer, etc ... not fun with PC. Final polish doesn't correct much with a PC either. However Nano 106ff is a lot more user friendly than the IP / FP combo, IMO.

I can break down any of those by hand so it's not a problem
Heck even Prima Cut will break down perfect for me by hand.

About four minutes to do that by hand but will take out swirls no probs.

I used the menz line up with the PC and it broke down just took some time. When I tried it with the Flex it was much faster, and I was amazed!!:righton:

Menzerna has worked fine for me with PC... Of course due to the power of the rotary it will break down ANY polish faster.. But do not fear Menz and PC play very well together

I have never had to apply an unusual amout of pressure...

^ I agree Dont find much pressure ness. at all-usually a little more than the weight of the PC. If you have been using XMT with a PC and you try the Menz with a PC you will never use the XMT again.

All of these polishes can work successfully with a PC. The side effect to a ROB is that it takes alot more time to correct properly, and pad/polish choice dictate how much can be done. That said, for the hobbist it usually is the safer choice and can actually be fun once you get the hang of the machine. Higher speeds, and time is needed.

I recently used my PC with Menzerna IP on a 5.5" low profile LC orange pad (ya gotta stock up on these!) to remove scratches from the hood of my boss's wife's Lexus. Yes, I do have a rotarty, but the scratches were in a small 2"x1" place (result of a box with grits on the bottom being set on the hood and picked up at an angle - DOH!) So, I wanted to see if the PC could do it. It took 3 tries and I used a good sized blob of polish each time along with about 20 pounds of pressure, but the sratches went away. You need to check the spot every 15-20 seconds cause despite what you hear, the paint really did get hot, a little bit more than I would have preffered but it did the job. I went over it with FFII on a white LC 5.5" low profile pad and then hit it with Z2. I think the low profile pads are key to correction with a PC, I got a bunch of 6.5" fat (yellow and orange) LC pads that will NEVER be used again. And I'm ordering more 5.5" next time - thanks AG for including the 5.5" orange pads with the Menzerna, made a huge difference for me.
