I used a craftsman buffer before but i decided to go and get fancy and get the porter cable. However i mist the pad and apply Klasse AIO and get sling all over the place i feel like i am applying only a dime size amount on the pad. Can some people help me please.

What are you misting the pad with? You only need to mist it once before you start polishing to 'prime' the pad. Are you applying the KAIO directly onto the pad? If so, make sure you spread the polish on the paint before turing the machine on. Then work the polish in even more at a low speed and then turn the speed up to the desired setting. Keep the pad flat on the surface and don't lift it off of the paint with it on...

I know when I started with a PC I got sling because I put to much prime solution on the pad. I also got sling from the product for the same reason. Wiping the pad over the surface helped a lot but the thing that I did that helped the most was putting less product on the pad.

:iagree: with all of Budman's process. And, if you're using a very thin product that you've got to put on the paint, back the pad over it at a very slow speed.

Use less product and spread it over the paint with the machine off. Then start at speed 1 so u can try to eliminate the sling. Then bump to 3 to evenly spread the product over the area you want to work on, and then go up to the speed u need to go to. That's how I do it :). I also never lift the pad off the surface while it's on.

thanks

thanks for all the help i will try this. I tried two items the pinacle conditioner and the wolfgand spritz thing. maybe it made the product more liquidy than it was supposed to so it created sling. which is the best ccs pad to start off with??? Bue, black, orange, yellow, white???

Remember that Klasse AIO is just a paint cleaner, it won't remove any defects. That being said you should use a white polishing pad or black/blue finishing pad. FWIW, I don't believe I have ever primed my pad before using AIO... I usually prime my pads with the product itself anyways.

I dont use any kind of spray to prime my pads. Polish goes straight onto the paint and I go from there.

If you are getting sling with the PC, then something is wrong.
