I don't know how old your are but I'm only 85. I can almost see the road when I'm driving my Lambo. They took my drivers license away years ago. The police are afraid to pull me over. What's your definition of anolder man? I hope 85 is not to old.

Unfortunately, Gary, I do not believe that!

You are not old in my book even if you are in your 80's because that is one hot fleet of cars - now if you drive a saturn, I'd say yea. (LOL)

You have class when you write, so I am not surprised you aren't really young.:) :)

All men huh....well if your looking for some real action babe....look no further...NICA IS HERE!!!! ;)

Heck I'll even fly over and help you out with your "needs"...car "needs" ;)

hahahaha all jokes...really all jokes.

I'm going down to sears and I'm going to purchase the chair, I'm only 27 but I figured if I can prevent now I'll save my self later ;)

Good topic Lauren.

Can you get me a chair and send one to me? I will consider it a late Christmas gift. Don't worry about it being late - I still like you. :) :)

Um, Nica, good thing you are joking. You couldn't handle me anyhow, baby.
LOL

hee hee

I am so bad. I can see so are you. We will add you to the list!! Joe has competition.
(Joe is wearing pink panties today.)
According to one of his posts yesterday, anyway.

But now, back to the back pain.

LOL

Actually I'm not real old and I'm not real young. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. I'll fly your vette to Cape Coral and Nica going to come down from Canada to help detail your car. She's really electric so it should be fun.

Hey, I just have to wash her again this weekend, (it has been a few days) and then I will take the photos in the sun like I promised you. I have not forgotten.
Hopefully it won't rain like it did last night. But my vette is one of the vehicles that has a garage spot. Three are on the street, but then again they are beaters, not top of the line makes like yours. Guess in this case that is a good thing!!!
Did you ever see - I did post somewhere the before shots. It has been worked on twice since then so she is lots better, but to perfect like I would like!
Im the MAN :) Lauren
Nice chatting with you Gary, as always!

I have not seen the before pictures of your vette but I would like too. I will have to try and find them. I have two of my cars out in the driveway (actually a van and a pickup truck). If I can clean some the junk out of my one garage I could fit another one in. I have 1 car at another house that I have in GA. I started detailing my pickup truck yesterday. It usually takes me a number of days to detail a car because I only work on them in the late afternoon or at night. The pickup's not as much fun as detailing a sports car but I'll post some pictures of it anyways when I'm finished.

I need some handsome older men to detail my car for that.
Volunteers??

I'm not older.....maybe handsome (no shirt comments girl!), but I'd be willing to wax........

your car!

You know what? My trainer suggested that too. It is just my HMO is a pain - I have to go to my md to get a referral, which takes them up to 2 weeks to approve, or they could deny, and even then, I am fairly limited. But he and I are thinking that something has just gotten out of whack recently that can be fixed, because normally I have no issues at all and am active.
Thank you for being so sweet and thoughtful!!!

Lauren
I am going to call for an appt!! You are too right!Im the MAN

Im majoring in Exercise Physiology. Im the MAN Gotta get my personal training certification soon. Your pain is lower back right? Lumbar vertebra, thats where most people get their pain, easiest place to slip a disk.

That is cool! Good luck on your certificate!
Yes, it is my lower back. It has never had problems or an injury, so it is weird. I am afraid of the sliped disc issue, big time.
It is like the last joint in the spine, between the hips - it radiates to the hips.
I forget what Mark called this joint.
Alll I know is ouch!!!!!!!!!! We worked on strengthening it without weights - something new which seemed super easy, but today those muscles, or ones right near by, are very sore in a different way - you know like you get sore from a workout. I was surprised. Took a lot to knock out the pain.
Thank you for all your help too, MustaNG! oops:righton:

That's where it bothers me as well. Always my lower back!

Sucks, doesn't it? Takes part of the fun out of it. I end up having to keep on sitting down. I feel like a senior citizen - (No offense anyone. obviously we are all headed there. ) But you know what I mean.

It is pretty bad - I might have to drive a dirty car next week...but I am going to fight it! Promised Gary red vette photos on the forum.
You are a good sport, buddy!:p

Sacroiliac joint, http://www.back.com/anatomy-sacral.html Where the sacrum (5 fused vertebra) join with the hips (ilium).

Heres a good picture of the disks, http://members.aol.com/wayneheim/discw.jpg We are looking at them from the front. You put pressure on them when you bend over. If they wear down enough, then the fluid in the disk will come out, and push on the nerves that run through the vertebra. Thats where all the pain comes from.

Well, if we knew, we would be millionares!!
If you get any helpful suggestions, please, let me know!!

I think the best thing to do is stretch before and after, see a chiropractor, and build up the surrounding muscles. Not only with muscular strength exercises, but also with endurance exercises. Which means little to no weight, but high reps and short rest periods. Using PERFECT form.

Remember its best to warm up first, then stretch before your activity, then stretch again at the end. So do something to warm your body up, jumping jacks, short 5 min run, etc. This is VERY important, unfortunately a lot of people dont do it. I also think you should try a heating pad after activities to help relax the muscles.

There is also some joint medicine you can take, I dont know much about those.

Ive been to the chiropractor a few times. The scariest part is when he cracked my neck. He twists it like hes about to break it, the stuff you see in the movies. The cracking noise is actually air bubbles.
