PC7424 Auto Geek Purchase

Congratulations on your purchase. The Wolfgang stuff is great and simple to use. The PC is a pretty tuff machine. Mine is about 7 years old and still going strong.

Your PC was manufactured in USA 7 years ago now it is manufactured in Mexico (cheap labor etc...) not sure mine will last 7 years.

Johny.

Today again, I took advantage of AG's special offer of free shipping, with no minimum, and decided to get just a few more items.

They were the Wolfgang Pad Cleaner, a BOGO of the Pumpkin MF Towels, a few LC Hand Applicators for the Polishes I have and will have. And I also bought a Water Sprite Faux Chamois.

I know many prefer to use MF Towels to dry, but all we can get is the Absorber Drying Cloths here, and I myself prefer the Water Sprite to the Absorber. Always liked these years ago.

As for applicators, and MF Towels, one can never have enough, can they?

As well, a qt bottle of Meggy's 205 from Wally World yesterday for $19.95, and a stop at the Paint Supply Shop this morning, for some fine finishing sand papers, and a couple more rolls of Painter's Tape.

Now am hoping for the needed time, and some cooperative weather here in the next two week's time frame. Mark

"Houston, Tranqulity Base Here, The Eagle Has Landed!!" :buffing:

Holy Moley! "One small step for Man, one giant step for Mark"

The mother lode has arrived. OMG, I got enough goodies here, that I think I'm going to need another spare bedroom.

My Porter Cable 7424XP, the host of LC 5.5" Pads, LC 4" Pads, Backing Plates,

And the other box with dual Pinnacle Clay Bars, 2, not just 1 large bottles of Pinnacle Clay Bar Lube, that was a surprise, and I seen caps at first on top, and said "wow, how will I apply?"

But sure enough, there were the two Spray Heads as well, and the Clay Bars were at the bottom of the box, almost thought they were forgotten. Nope, there they were in their pretty little Plastic Tomb-Case.

A trio of the Wolfgang goodies, with everything needed for Paint Correction, as well as that nice large bottle of Wolfgang Sealant 3.0.

And the Pumpkin MF Towels, the Poly Sponge Hand Applicators.

To top off the list, and last but not least, a 17oz Spray Bottle of Optimum Tire Shine.

As well, the little icing on the cake, the AG folks did not forget to throw in some sample bottle of goodies, and there's a few I see!

Whomever packed my order at AG, my hat's off to you! Really done very nice, so orderly, so well packaged, and neat-professional.

Christmas came early for me today!

A whismical thought ran though my mind as I was unpacking. A little dream there was, of a Bobby Flay-esque throwdown, Mark, the oldschool-old guy from the old Hood, and school of "hard knocks", the student, against the 9th Degree Grand Master himself, Mike Phillips! LOL Who will be the winner!?

To tell the truth, I'd probably be putting my money on Mike! LOL

But so far, I am jumping up and down with what I have here, and with my order.

About the PC7424 as a first comment about it. Very nice, solid, heavy, but not unwieldly. I think I'll be able to nicely fit it in a smaller than originally thought, nice Plastic Tool Case.

The Speed Dial I notice has nice positive clicks anywhere you set it. That is nice, that during use, it doesn't appear that the Dial will somehow wander from vibration all over the place, that the speed will stay put at your selected setting.

I'm a very happy man, and thanks all, to you forumites whom have helped me, and to all the Auto Geek Folks who made this purchase a very nice one. Mark

I would get MF pads. The LC will work for compounding and finishing. I would get at least 6. MF has the smallest learning curve IMO.

My current Backing Plates are the LC 3.5", and 5" for the PC Machine.

LC makes DA MF Pads in 4-1/4", 5-1/4", and 6-1/4".

Which size the for the 5" LC Backing Plate, the 5-1/4" size?

These are said to last longer, that's a plus. One Pad does all, that might be another plus.

Can you tell me more about them, and their other benefits versus any of the Foam Pads?
