Looking to get the porter cable xp should i buy the standard or is the hdworrh the extra 30 bucks. Won't be using a whole lot just some mild paint correction on my own vehicles and maybe a few friends

The difference between the two is the length of the cord. If you feel you'd like a longer cord to avoid the use of an extension then opt for it....rops:

It's probably worth it. I didn't, but use a 'good' 25 foot extention cord. A heavy extention cord will cost you the 30 bucks.

Tip: Do not let wife or kid use extention cord with hedge trimmer.

I would spend the $30 on a good extension cord. You can use it will other tools. Even the above mentioned hedge trimmer.

You gonna have to buy an extension cord for the vaccum anyways... So get the regular PCxp and a good 14 AWG extension cord.

I would say if you do the work close to an outlet most of the time then the HD would probably eliminate the need for an extension cord. If you are unsure, then the extension cord may be the better choice.
